The Maimaigon is a giant monster called Demon Beast that appears in Kirby: Right Back at Ya!. He was created on accident when King Dedede's assistant, Escargon, lost his prized shell and looked for a new one.
Physical Appearance[]
While his concealed form gives him glowing green eyes that appear to be inside his shell, the Maimaigoon does not appear to have any while his head is exposed. He resembles Escargon himself somewhat, but has grown to an enormous size. His shell has horns.
Biography[]
After his shell was busted in the episode Escargon's Nudity, King Dedede's loyal assistant Escargon tries to get some help. Kirby goes out of his way to get a Turban shell, much to Escargon's delight. However, the Nightmare Enterprises company's Customer Service proceeds to send over a harder shell through his teleporter. Escargon dons the shell and then finds out the hard way when it grows on him and takes over his body, and the Maimaigon is born...
The Maimaigon proceeds to attack everyone who has entered the room. However, Kirby uses his inhale to grab King Dedede's hammer to become Hammer Kirby. Kirby then uses the Hammer Throw technique to sacrifice his power to bust the shell open as the Maimaigon uses his Mai Mai Laser to fry Kirby to a crisp. Escargon reverts to normal and gets his old shell (which Tiff Ebrum had fixed beforehand.
