Major Sebastian Bludd is a supporting antagonist in the G.I. Joe series. He is a mercenary working for COBRA under Cobra Commander.
Biography[]
Past[]
Born in Australia, Bludd was trained by the Australian Special Air Force before he left to join the French Foreign Legion and saw action in Algeria, all before becoming a COBRA mercenary.
He worked as a military advisory in a number of hostiles countries where he acts terrorism against peaceful governments throughout Europe. He is wanted on three countries (especially Rhodesia and Libya) for numerous war crimes, and even a few crimes against humanity. He also has a tactical mind like a steel trap, and is proficient with all NATO and Warsaw Pact small arms.
Bludd is adept with weapons, mostly plastic explosives, long-ranged sniper rifles, garrotes, blunt instruments, poisoned ice picks, Saturday night specials, and anything with spikes. He is also identified by his eyepatch and Snidely Whiplash-style mustache.
Sunbow series[]
In the series, Bludd is very loyal to Cobra Commander and is in charge of recruiting more people into Cobra. He also made a cameo appearance in the film G.I. Joe: The Movie, where he is seen attacking the Statue of Liberty before escaping away from the scene and is never seen again. He would later return in the DiC series returning back to recruiting more people into Cobra for Cobra Commander.
G.I. Joe: Resolute[]
In the miniseries, Major Bludd is shown as a corpse in the first episode, apparently murdered by a COBRA operative. It later turns out that Cobra Commander order his death since he tried to usurp authority of COBRA.
G.I. Joe: Renegades[]
In the series, Bludd is an assassin hired by COBRA to take down the Joes, as he is involved in framing the Joes for the explosion of Cobra Industries' Pharmaceuticals in order to help covert COBRA's actions. In the end of the series, he lost his right arm to a crocodile while trying to take down Roadbloack and Heavy Duty.
