Malcolm Ratt is the main antagonist of the book Thea Stilton and the Ice Treasure. He is the owner of the mineral water company Icewater who destroys icebergs for gain.

Malcolm Ratt was originally a fur merchant in Alaska. Some years later, he became the owner of a business called Icewater, whose factory bottled mineral water. An old icebreaker from Vancouver, Botnia, was sold to Icewater and renamed Seagull. Ratt made his secret factory for manufacturing water in the ship's hold. His mineral water was served in the most exclusive and fashionable restaurants in the world, and cost more than twenty dollars per bottle. The crew of the Seagull was stationed in Nanavak Bay of Alaska and took orders from him. They blew up icebergs with dynamite to produce mineral water.
The presence of Ratt's henchmen was revealed when they attacked Ernanek after he stumbled upon them. The Thea Sisters, Green Mice and Inupiat learned they were behind the explosions and decided to take action against them. Ashvin, Kanuk and Pamik attempted to immediately put a stop to their activities on an overnight mission, but were captured by them. Due to the intervention, Ratt ordered his mice through a phone call to return to their port with a half empty hold. While the crew was arguing about whether to head back or not, the Thea Sisters, Green Mice and Grandpa Krilaut rescued the captives. The police then arrived, having been informed about Ratt's crimes by the Green Mice, and arrested Ratt's minions. Ratt tried to flee from the authorities, but was arrested at the Seattle airport.
