Malicia is one of the secondary antagonists of the Kingdom Rush franchise, serving as one of the two main antagonists of Kingdom Rush Origins and overarching antagonists for the rest of the series (alongside her ally Mactans).
She is a power-hungry Twilight Elf which crowned herself as the queen of her race in a quest to exterminate the mortal enemies of their species, the Elves. To reach this objective, she allies herself with Mactans, one of the Ancient Spider Queen, and decides to put her hands on the Tear of Elynie, a powerful artifact that could give her the god-like power she needs.
Appearence[]
Malicia is a woman with grey like skin, which is common for her race, with long white hairs that she usually hides under the purple crown she have over her head. She have a tight black robe that cover her entire body, with a long cape of the same color, with slight violet shades. She have red eyes and in her hand she always have a scepter with her, similiar to a double edged axe with a purple crystal on the top, between the two blades.
After fusing with Malicia and becoming the Spider Goddess, the lower half of her body resemble a huge black spider, with purple stripes on the back and eight legs that ends with sharp violet claws. Meanwhile, her upper body is much more human-like, with the appearence of a Twilight Elf with purple armor, a scepter and a crown. Her hair are white and long while her eyes are red, just like the gem at the center of her body, which is the corrupted Tear of Elynie that the two now fused within the abomination have stolen.
Personality[]
Malicia is an extremely power-hungry member of the Twilight Elves race, which hates Elves more than anyone else and wants to exterminate their race so that the Twilight Elves can rule the world without obstacles. To do that she is ready to go to many lenght, even allying herself with Mactans, and crown herself as the queen of her own race to start a war against her mortal enemies, without caring about how many will die.
Despite this, she is stilla cautious woman since she understand that taking the Tear of Elynie will have great conseguences on the world and doubting herself for a moment, before Mactans forces her to comply with her plan, meaning that she does have at least some limits to how far she wants to push things. On top of this, she does consider Mactans herself as a friend, despite the latter seeing their relationship as purely pragmatic.
However, the fact that she started a war that caused countless causalties and that her action caused the Tear to be corrupted show that she is a extremely evil and selfish individual, which is ready to do anything to get what she wants.
Biography[]
Not much is known about Malicia's past, but it appears that she was born as a common Twilight Elf, before her power-hungry nature started to show and made her crown herself as the Queen of her race. At some point in the past, she allied herself with Mactans, one of the Ancient Spider Queen, due to their common goal of getting rid of the Elves and put their hands on the Tear of Elynie to obtain god-like powers. She also manages to ally herself with the Gnolls, a race of beings similiar to animals, and after that she starts to plot her attack on the Elven race.
Thanks to the help of the Gnolls, her troops manages to attack and conquer the capitale of the Elven Kingdom, attempting to also enter in the castle to murder Allegria Swiftwind, the last of Elynie's lineage. Fortunately, the main army of the Elves, which was distracted by several attacks of the Gnolls across the Kingdom, is able to come back to the capital and protect Alleria, escorting her to the Gryphon Point to allow her to escape to Linerea, in search of a helping hand to fight off the invasion.
With the Princess saved and the capital reclaimed throught an intense battle against the Gnoll's army, the Elves starts to make their way into the Faery Forest, where Malicia took over the Unseelie Court, crowning herself as the Queen of the Twilight Elves, and where her base of operations is located.
After reaching the Unseelie Court they find Malicia sitting on her throne, which than start sending several of her troops in an attempt to destroy the Elven army, while she also occasionally uses her magic powers to block the tower. After seeing that her army is not enough, she decides to enter the battle herself, but is eventually defeated and falls. When everything seems to finally be over, Mactans comes down from the top, taking the unconscious Malicia and feeling with her.
The Elves are able to track down the two, discovering that they are going towards the floating remains of the First City, the place of birth of the Elven race. They reach the city and the watch of the two Queens, with Malicia claiming that she will have her revenge against them, before sending a army of Twilight Elves and Spiders to attack them to slow them down to allow the two of them to reach what they were searching for.
The two of them arrives to the Shrine of Elynie, where the Tear of Elynie is kept. Malicia shows some doubts about taking it, claiming that the price might be too high, but Mactans coerce her into cooperating. While the Elven army attempts to keep at bay the Twilight Elves' army, the two Queen are able to break the glass encasing the Tear and jumps at the same time towards it to grab it. This causes the two of them to fuses together, creating the abomination known as the Spider Goddess.
With new found powers similiar to a god, the Spider Goddess attack the Elves army, summoning armies of spiders and Twilight Elves to her support, while also using magic to block and destroy entire towers. However, after a hard fought battle, the amalgamation is finally defeated, exploding in a bright light and leaving behind only the now corrupted Tear of Elynie, ending Malicia and Mactan's plans of world domination once and for all.
Malicia and Mactan's actions however, brought dire ramifications upon the world. Vez'nan, the shady sorcerer who initially offered to dispose the tainted Tear of Elynie on his allies' behalf, ended up corrupted by it, further driving him to the path of villainy.

- Malicia is the first boss from the series to be fought twice, once in her normal form and once in her Spider Goddess form.
- She is also the first boss to be female since Sarelgaz from the first game.
