Biography[]
Creation and Consuming Monsters[]
Around a millennia ago, in certain parts of the world, there were monsters. And in one region, there was no monster more terrifying than dragons. On their own, no faction was any match for dragons. So a witch, a werewolf and a vampire (The Triad) combined their blood using black magic to create a golem capable of consuming the dragons. They spelled the creature to have an insatiable hunger. But their spell also made it unable to harm witches, werewolves, or vampires, and they named it Eater of the Dark. When the dragons, in human form, returned to collect the treasure from all the villages they had attacked, it was waiting for them.
It took them, consumed them. To their surprise, the creature was more effective than they could have dreamed. After the dragons were gone, it kept eating every monster it could, swallowing them into an endless space inside itself.
However, it didn't stay a golem. With each monster's DNA it absorbed, it evolved. Eventually, it became sentient and aware, truly alive. And when the region was cleared of all the monsters, the Triad wanted to return him back to mud. Since they were the ones who created him, only they could destroy him. All they needed to do was wipe away the symbol on his forehead, but he betrayed his creators. He made a deal with all the humans he'd saved and they set him free to wander the earth and continue consuming, erasing all memory that the monsters ever existed.
Trying to create his lineage and Dissolved[]
Over time, he realized he was alone. So he did what all creations eventually do; create. He fashioned beings like him; his children. However, all the children he fashioned (like "Ryan Clarke") were imperfect. None of them had his powers. All of them had weaknesses and all were sterile, unable to reproduce and continue his legacy. He consumed every creature he could, and when his supply ran out, he grew weak and vulnerable. That's when the descendants of his original worshippers come back. So Clark told them of his attempts to create a lineage, trying to birth a new species, and led them to destroy him. They rebelled against Malivore and paid witches to use black magic to trap and dissolve him, returning him to his natural state; a black pit.
21st century[]
Malivore was created to be the only one of his kind. He was never intended to be a species or have a bloodline of his own, but he found a way to reproduce biologically. To have a son who was part human; Landon Kirby - a Human/Phoenix Hybrid. He created Landon specifically so he could kill him and take over his body; thereby gaining access to both his own powers, and Landon’s immortal Phoenix powers.
Even after succeeding in having a “perfect” son of his own, Malivore remained trapped in his liquified state, being housed inside of Triad’s headquarters. There, he remained for many years, until his son Ryan Clarke freed him. He was about to reform his physical body, when the Tribrid Hope Mikaelson jumped into Malivore and dissolved him, which did not kill him, merely stall his escape.
A matter of months later, The Necromancer ordered the witch Alyssa Chang to cast a spell and revive Malivore in his physical form, so that The Necromancer could use him as his own personal attack dog. Landon then offered to let Malivore possess him, so that he could kill The Necromancer and free both of them, to which Malivore agreed. Malivore almost killed The Necromancer, when his dragon showed up and killed Malivore first, and Landon along with him. However, since they were in the prison world, both of them were brought back to life.
Malivore remained trapped in the prison world for a while, growing more hateful towards all manner of Supernatural beings by the day. When he finally managed to escape by repossessing his son, he sought to kill Hope, and bring an end to all Supernaturals once and for all. Malivore spent several weeks wearing Landon as a skin suit, and no one knew it was really him. By the time everyone at the Salvatore School found out Malivore’s secret, Malivore had developed a taste for humans as well as monsters.
He would then strive to eat his way through the entire planet until he was the only thing left on it. He found a way to turn humans into monsters that he could control, and started making an army to aid him. In the end, Hope became a full fledged Tribrid capable of permanently destroying Malivore. In an act of desperation to win, Malivore played the only card he had left, which was to put Landon back in control, so that Hope wouldn’t kill him. His plan failed however, as Landon talked Hope into stabbing him with her blood. Malivore burned to ash inside of his own mind, and died permanently along with Landon.
With Malivore dead, and the monsters he was controlling no longer showing any interest in attacking the school, the Salvatore students including Hope were able to resume their normal supernatural lives like they were before the events of the show.
A New Hope[]
Lord Marshall.
In a dream-like alternate reality, Malivore became the second form of Hope's enemy known as Lord Marshall, with The Hollow being the first. At the Salvatore Palace, an adult-Hope defeats Lord Marshall and removes its mask, which she discover it is now Malivore since he is now her enemy in the present. Hope remarks that she knows how to defeat Malivore; she must become the tribrid.
Powers and Abilities[]
Powers[]
As a golem created with black magic, Malivore possesses many supernatural abilities. As the monster that was created to destroy other monsters, Malivore is incredibly dangerous, and might even be capable of defeating an Original Vampire. Malivore’s powers make him such a threat, that even Ken, who is the most powerful being in the universe, became afraid of him, and chose to go into a deep sleep until Malivore’s defeat.
- Immortality: As a Golem, Malivore is immortal and will live forever. In his true Golem form when he is outside of a vessel, Malivore also cannot be physically destroyed by anything apart from Hope Mikaelson’s blood.
- Absorption: Malivore’s primary ability is absorbing other supernatural creatures like him into himself. However, both Hope Mikaelson and Kai Parker were ejected from Malivore, as they are both hybrids, and Malivore’s dimension is incapable of containing hybrid creatures.
- Superhuman Strength: As a Golem and the first Golem ever created giving him a thousand years of time to build up his power, Malivore is incredibly strong. He was able to send The Necromancer flying high in the air and several feet away with a single punch.
- Superhuman Durability: Malivore’s body is far more durable than a normal person. He got slashed by a samurai katana, and didn’t even flinch. Even when he is inside of a vessel, he’s still practically impervious. When Hope Mikaelson punched Malivore into a train when he was inside of Landon’s body, Malivore got back up very easily.
- Possession: An ability unique to him that is not possessed by other Golems, Malivore has the ability to possess humans as vessels. However, it is unknown if he can just possess whoever he wants.
- Memory Repression: When Malivore absorbs people into himself, their memory is erased from the minds of anyone who has ever met or heard of that person.
- Golem Creation: Malivore is able to create other Golems like him by using pieces of himself to fashion them into his own creation.
- Monster Creation: After absorbing thousands upon thousands of monsters into himself, Malivore gained the ability to transform humans into monsters by infecting them with the monster’s essence.
- Combatant: Malivore has over a thousand years worth of experience fighting and killing various types of monsters, making him a very dangerous opponent. Malivore can defeat most types of supernatural creatures in a fight, as well as easily overpower humans such as Dennis.
