Malky is the secondary antagonist of Léon: The Professional. He is one of the members of Norman Stansfield's group of corrupt cops. He was played by Peter Appel.
Biography[]
He is firstly seen talking to Mathilda Lando's father, who is suspected for stealing a part of drugs, which were entrusted to him. Mr. Lando denies that he stole the drugs, but Malky tells him that if he continues to deny, he will have to disturb Stansfield, who dislikes to be disturbed. Mr. Lando continues to deny and Malky tells Stansfield about that. Stansfield tells Mr. Lando that he will return the next day at the afternoon and if Mr. Lando cannot return the drugs until then, he will be killed. The next day, Stansfield and his group return. Stansfield kills the entire family (not knowing about Mathilda's existence), but stops to taunt Mr. Lando. He orders to search the drugs, which is done by his group. Mr. Lando manages to break free and kill one of Stansfield's minions, but is himself killed by Stansfield. Malky comforts Stansfield and gets him out of the flat. Soon, Malky notices that one member of the family (who is Mathilda) is missing. Stansfield and others begin to search her. Later, Malky goes to arrange the deal with the Chinese criminals about drugs, but Leon appears and kills everyone as a revenge for killing Mathilda's family.
Personality[]
Malky is a completely corrupt cop, who partakes in all Stansfield's deals. But even despite that he knows well that there are lines he shouldn't cross. For example, he tries to reason Mr. Lando peacefully, as he doesn't want to disturb Stansfield, who definitely isn't the one to be dealt with. Also, when willi kills Mathilda's family, he is shown scolding Willy for killing Mathilda's brother, who is 4 years old, and tries to comfort Stansfield. Also, when Stansfield shoots in the window to force one of Mathilda's neighbours to enter her flat, Malky says Stansfield: "It will be better if you enter the flat", which means Malky is against violence.
