~ Malvina to Giselle.
Malvina Monroe is the main antagonist of the 2022 Disney+ film Disenchanted, a sequel to 2007's Enchanted.
She is the mother of Tyson Queen Bee of Monroeville, a town named after her, ruling over the population with her social influence. When Giselle, a former citizen of the magic world of Andalasia who settled on New York City years ago, moves with her family to Monroeville, Marvina's snobbish attitude slowly leads Giselle to use her Andalasian wand to wish for a fairy tale life, setting the sequel's events into motion. She is also Morgan’s arch-nemesis and Giselle’s arch-rival.
She was portrayed by Maya Rudolph, who also voiced Rapunzel in Shrek the Third, Julia in The Simpsons, Smiler in The Emoji Movie and Cynthia Utrom in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem.
Malvina is first introduced when Giselle, Robert and Morgan are moving into Monroeville, she gives them a gift basket that she weaved as a welcome gift but is apprehesive towards them. After Giselle discovers that Malvina is hosting a ball called Monroe-fest, she attempts to get Morgan elected the princess of the ball to make her happy as she is unhappy with the move. However, her attempt embarasses her which in consequence angers Morgan, hurting Giselle's feelings. After being reunited and talking with her anthrophomorphic chipmunk friend Pip, Giselle uses a magic wand from her animated and magical hometown of Andalasia called the the Andalasian Wand of Wishing to make a wish that her's and her family's life becomes a fairy tale life.
The next morning, the wish has come true, transforming the town into a fairy tale-like fantasy world and kingdom similar to Andalasia called Monrolasia. The wish makes Malvina a evil queen and witch based on Queen Grimhilde from Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. The wish also turns Morgan identically similar to Cinderella, Robert into an adventurer and rescuer, Pip into a tabby cat based on Lucifer from Cinderella, and slowly starts to turn Giselle into a wicked stepmother based on Lady Tremaine from Cinderella. Giselle and Malvina begin a rivalry and plan to do away with the other so they can rule over Monrolasia as a villain. After discovering the wishing wand, Malvina steals it with the help of Rosaleen and Ruby, her two henchwomen.
Malvina tries to use the wand, but she cannot access its magical powers due to not being a true "daughter of Andalasia," so she kidnaps the magical instructions scroll and threatens to cut him in half if he doesn't answer all his questions. Giselle sends Morgan to Andalasia to break the spell and once arriving, Morgan learns that the magic of Andalasia is leaving and going to the real world to make Monrolasia and when the spell becomes permanent at midnight, Andalasia will disappear permanently. Giselle and Malvina have a magical duel with Malvina using her magic powers and Giselle using the magic powers of the wishing wand. Morgan uses a family tree to undo the spell on Giselle but is put to sleep by a potion and trapped in thorns by Malvina who demands the wishing wand. Giselle gives her the wand and Malvina breaks it in half.
Morgan then wakes up. Giselle starts to magically disappear along with everything in Andalasia. Robert and Malvina's son, Tyson, go to the clock tower to prevent it from chiming midnight. Giselle says that since Morgan is her daughter she can use the wand as she is a true daughter of Andalasia. As Malvina uses telekinesis to make the clock chime, Morgan wishes herself home.
The next morning, nobody, including Malvina, has any recollection of Monrolasia nor their personalities while in Monrolasia and believes that Monrolasia was a dream that they all had. After Giselle apologizes to Malvina, Malvina accepts her apology and allows her to join the town's committee.
Personality[]
In her normal form, Malvina isn't that bad, just an arrogant anti-heroic townowner.
In her evil queen form, she is an extremely tyrannical and horrible woman who mistreats Rosaleen and Ruby all the time and wants to be the most powerful and evil in Monrolasia. She fights Giselle for the title of baddest villain in her "Badder" villain song. After she goes back to normal, she becomes a nicer person.

Trivia[]
Marvina Monroe is Maya Rudolph's first live-action villainous role.
Both Malvina and Narissa are evil queens and witches.
Malvina is considered a dark reflection to Morgan. Both are women who had a sarcastic and snobbish attitude, especially when Giselle caused them troubles when she moved to Monroeville, and when they somewhat triggered the events of the film for how they treated Giselle. However, unlike Morgan, who realized her mistakes, see how valuable Giselle is to her, and she cared for her, Malvina remained evil during the spell and planned to kill her for the Monrolasia evil queen role and prevent her wish from being undone to remain the ruler. Malvina serves as an example on what Morgan might've become if she didn’t learned to appreciate Giselle and let her sarcastic teenager attitude consumed her completely.
