Brigitte more commonly known as Maman Brigitte, is one of the two overarching antagonists (alongside Saburo Arasaka) in the 2020 science fiction video game Cyberpunk 2077.
She is a Netrunner and the manipulative leader of the Voodoo Boys, who are trying to discover the secrets of the Net. She is ultimately responsible for the events of the game since she was the one who hired Evenlyn Parker to steal the construct reliec of Johnny Silverhand.
She was voiced by Victoria Charles.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Before the events of the game, Brigitte was raised in Haiti, after her native country was devastated by earthquakes and other natural disasters, she and other Haitians decided to leave her country and moved to Night city. Some time later, she joined the Voodoo Boys gang and then became a leader in their quest to discover Netu, which is being blocked by Blackwall and NetWatch, looking for a way to get past her.
Cyberpunk 2077[]
In act 1 Some time later, Brigitte tasked Evelyn Parker with finding out where Yorinobu kept the chip by braindancing, but after the plan to steal the chip failed because of Saburo's death, Brigitte hacked Evelyn to cover her tracks causing her to get the virus. In the meantime, Netwatch has hired Agent Mosley to map out Pacifica's data fortresses, putting the gang under threat.
In act 2 When her gang member Ti Neptune discovered that the NetWatch was in their system, which had been hit with black ice and frozen, along with Brigitte in stasis, her right-hand man Placide hired the mercenary V who was involved in the failed chip theft to infiltrate the Grand Imperial Mall to free them and stop Netwatch.
After freeing Brigitte, V comes to talk to her that she has a chip on her head that she wanted and decided to bring them along to help with their plans. Brigitte lied to V that she would remove the chip from him knowing she would die in the process. When she went online with V and other members of her gang after unlocking the chip's memory, she ordered V to go to the other side of Blackwall.
