Manky Kongs are reccuring Kongs and one of the only characters in Donkey Kong Country to be allied with the Kremlings and King K Rool. They were exclied from the Kong Family for their savagery and want revenge.
Appearance[]
Manky Kongs are drastically different in appearance from the Kongs despite their shared species being more savage like.
Donkey Kong Country[]
Manky Kongs first appear in the world Vine valley. They try to hurt Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong, by throwing an endless supply of barrels in their direction. When the Kongs are in the range of attack of the enemy, they will first hear a sound effect of a barrel being thrown. Soon afterwards, multiple barrels will appear rolling towards the primates, coming from outside of the screen at regular intervals. Because of this, Manky Kongs can be dangerous enemies. The Kongs can beat them by jumping on them, rolling on them or having a steel Keg run into them. the horn of Rambi can also easily destroy all barrels thrown by the Manky Kongs and defeat the enemies upon contact.
In the GBC port, the player can print a sticker of Manky holding the letter J from the Game Boy Printer, from the selection menu's "ALPHABET" option of the PRINT sub-menu. Similarly, the GBA port includes a photograph of a Manky Kong that can be obtained by throwing a Steel Keg at one.
Super Smash Bros brawl[]
Manky appears a a sticker that can be used by Donkey Kong and Diddy in the Subspace Emsarry only. it boosts the Kongs attack power as the try to stop Bowser, Wario, Gannondorf and the Subspace Army.
Trivia[]
