~ Manny Escuela speaking into the camera. |
Manny Escuela (1973 - April 2008) is a supporting character in the 2008 video game, Grand Theft Auto IV, and he also mentioned by Troy as a minor character in its 2009 DLC midquel The Ballad of Gay Tony. He is a wannabe vigilante who wishes to spread peace throughout gangland in Bohan, or what he calls "The Streets".
He was portrayed by Berto Colon.
Personality[]
Manny constantly wishes to be a real vigilante, with him killing people just to prove how much he cares for the community. Manny also kills people who he has nothing to do with. He enforces Niko Bellic to kill three groups of hoodlums, with no real reason for doing so.
Manny also has an extreme ego, with him comparing himself to Jesus Christ himself. He also claims to do a lot of things that are in fact not true, only to make him self look better. He is also seemingly homophobic and treats close friends, like Elizabeta, horribly.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Manny grew up in South Bohan, where he became close friends with Mallorie Bardas and Elizabeta Torres and was a former member of the Spanish Lords who had a severe heroin addiction. After quitting heroin, Manny hired Jay Hamilton after realizing he wanted to become a vigilante.
Grand Theft Auto IV[]
Manny was introduced to Niko Bellic through Mallorie, in which he hired Niko to kill a group of gangbangers in order to film it all to prove his dedication to the "streets". Soon after, Manny hires Niko to kill more and more gang members just to gain fame.
Some time later, Escuela and Hamilton visit Elizabeta in order to shoot more videos of Manny showing his love of the "streets" and his hatred for crime. Eventually, Manny finds out that Niko is there, in which Elizabeta kills Jay and Manny, by a shot to the head. Their bodies are sold to an organ dealer after their bodies are put into Elizabeta's trunk.
