Mantis Mozoo is a minor antagonist of Dai Sentai Goggle V, serving as the primary antagonist of the Episode 5 and as the minor antagonist of the Episode 28. He was a mantis-themed Synthetic Beast at the service of the Dark Science Empire Deathdark.

He was voiced by Toku Nishio, who also voiced multiple other villains and monsters in Sentai franchise.

Biography[]

He was created by the Deathdark leaders. After being created, the beast was sent by his masters to attack Tokyo. The beast enforced these orders and attacked the city. When Rangers arrived, Mantis battled Goggle-V in a Storyteller's house. The monster attacked Miki, Saburou and Haruo Shimada, but other Rangers arrived just in time and saved them. By seeing that he was losing, the mutant retreated. Later it was revealed in the episode that Synthetic Beast was a part of the plan to use the storyteller as a hostage for the further Deathdark plans.

Later, the beast returned and again attacked Tokyo. Second fight between the monster and Goggle-V was near the nearby lake. Praying Mantis Mozoo retreated together with Mazurka, who kidnapped the storyteller. After all these events, Mantis returned again and the third fight with Goggle-V was at the rocks. The rock was holding a bunch of gas, but Futoshi placed back the rock. The villain then used the secret part of his scheme and prayed Goggle-V with blue gas. Goggle-V Rangers attacked Praying Mantis Mozoo with their Lightning Balls, before finishing the mutant off with their Goggle Victory Flash. After that, Praying Mantis Mozoo was revived by the Praying Mantis Kong and he piloted it. He was defeated permanently by the Electron Galaxy Cut.

Mantis Mozoo was among multiple Mozoo beasts that were nearly revived by Shark Mozoo during a Mozoo revival ceremony, until it was stopped by Goggle V.
