Marcus Duffy is a minor antagonist of the BBC British soap opera EastEnders.

Biography[]

Little is known about Marcus Duffy apart from the fact that he grew up to be a music teacher from the early 1960s.

In 1964, Marcus met a woman named Kathy Hills when she was fourteen at the time. He seduced Kathy and later raped her, which resulted in Kathy getting pregnant and giving birth to their daughter Donna Ludlow months later; Marcus had nothing to do with the child and Kathy gave the baby up for adoption.

Over the next few decades, Kathy would slowly put the past ordeal with Marcus behind her until Donna resurfaced and told Kathy that she was her daughter. Kathy had trouble bonding with Donna due to the impact of her ordeal with Marcus in the past. Donna then demanded Kathy tell her about her father, to which Kathy finally disclosed by revealing to Donna that she was the product of rape after her father had raped her mother at the time.

As such, Kathy told her husband Pete Beale about her past ordeal when his enemy Nick Cotton found out about it first and began blackmailing her for money. Pete then stopped Nick from his blackmail and later comforted Kathy over her past ordeal.

In 1988, Kathy would get raped again - this time by her former boss James Willmott-Brown. A year later Kathy was happy when James was sent to prison for raping her, but was left devastated when Donna died as a result of her wayward troubles that ultimately led to her being isolated by everyone around her.

Several years later, Kathy told her best-friend Pat Harris about her ordeal with Marcus in the past.
