Marcus Fidel is a supporting antagonist in the BBC Medical Drama Casualty, appearing as a supporting character in the 36th series and as the main antagonist of the 37th series.

He is the Management Consultant at the Holby City Emergency Department. The ex-fiancée of the late Emma Nash, he began dating her sister Stevie Nash who worked at the department. He became the nemesis of doctor Dylan Keogh during the 37th series, as Marcus kept preventing Dylan from trying to improve the hospital or deal with a case involving abuse at a care facility. Marcus began to show more of a darker side when he began to manipulative and emotionally abuse Stevie in order to control her, an action which he is revealed to have carried out before.

He is played by Adam Sina.

Biography

Series 36

Marcus appears in the first episode of series 36 in flashbacks set in 2016 (five years prior to the episode's airing in 2021). He is the fiancée of Emma Nash who ends up having an affair with her sister Stevie. Emma is involved in an accident which lands her in a coma and causes her to suffer brain damage. In present day Stevie begins working at the A&E as a revenge scheme against Ethan Hardy, blaming him for her sister's plight.

Marcus begins work at the A&E department in 2022, six years following the accident.

Series 37

Marcus becomes an obstacle in Clinical Leader Dylan Keogh's bid to improve the hospital, mainly due to budgetary restraints. He begins a full-time relationship with Stevie although they try to shield their relationship from other members of the team. Later in the series Marcus begins to show his darker side. First he tries to stop Dylan from looking into the abuse going on at a care facility, due to Marcus knowing people working on the board of directors who would rather keep the incident quiet. When Dylan refuses to back down, Marcus demotes Dylan from his post although allows him to resume as a doctor.

Marcus begins to manipulate Stevie in order to control her and make her rely on him. He leaves bad reviews of Stevie's performance at the hospital posing as patients in order to give her a bad record, with Marcus then promising to look out for her.
