Marcus Green is a minor antagonist in Hitman: Absolution and the first target in the mission "Death Factory." He is killed by 47 to stop him from experimenting on Victoria.

He was voiced by Yuri Lowenthal

Background[]

Dr Green was visiting his grandparents when one night a group of robbers broke in and ransacked the house. Him and his younger sister were trapped inside the Pig's shed where one of the starved pigs turned feral and tried to kill Green. Green was able to slay the pig but they fell on his leg, crushing it and trapping him. His sister lacked the strength to rescue him and his leg had to be amputated after he was rescued.

His scientific career was driven by his hatred of pigs, and he would experiment on them ruthlessly. He was an explosives expert who oversaw the mine construction and bosses around the scientists until they made the perfect weapons. His workers hated him, with some even scheming to murder him.

Events in the game[]

Green is first seen bossing his workers around. He then travels to the hazmat scientists and gives them commands to set up the bombs. He frequently checks up on the mines while gazing with glee at the dead pigs. He occasionally returns to his starting point to look down on his workers. There are a few ways he can be killed without alerting everyone else.

The easiest way is to simply shoot the platform he's standing on, causing him to fall to his death and get eaten by pigs. Observers will describe this as karma.
His mines can be activated in two places. The first is when he's checking on the artificial grass in the bomb sites, and the second is by placing a bomb in the mine creation room.
He can be pushed or dumped into the waste section along with all the other dead pigs.

Personality[]

Green is angry, vicious, unpleasant, and perfectionistic. He lacks any charisma and is only respected due to his extreme intelligence. He is skilled at his job but lets his hatred and trauma get the best of him, being more interested in torturing animals than actually making scientific progress. Unlike Ashford (who is obsessed with human experimentation) or Valentine (who wants to regrow his hair and create weapons for an army), Green is driven by sadism and little else.
