“ | But when I saw Dr. Margaret Tellison moving in across the street, I knew immediately that there was something different about her. She was tall and thin, with long dark hair pulled into a severe bun. She wore a deep blue woolen dress, and carried an old leather briefcase, that seemed constantly on the verge of buckling, although she carried it with ease. I don’t know what exactly it was about her that stuck out to me, but as soon as I saw her, I knew she was what my mother had always talked about. She was touched by powers like those that watched over our family. | „ |
~ Mary Keay on Margaret Tellison. |
Margaret Tellison is a minor antagonist of the Rusty Quill horror podcast The Magnus Archives, serving as the main antagonist of Mag 62: First Edition. She was a doctor who lived in the 1950s and came in possession of a supernatural book called the Catalogue of the Trapped Dead. The book allowed her to trap the souls of the dead inside of it if she used their skin to make a page, and she used it to figure out where the dead's money and bank statements were so she could take them. She began to make a habit of killing some of her patients so she could use their skin to make pages and rob them, before being murdered by Mary Keay.
Appearance[]
Magaret Tellison was described as a tall and thin middle-aged woman. She kept her hair tied back in a bun and wore a blue woolen dress.
Personality[]
Magaret Tellison was an exceptionally ruthless psychopath. She put on a facade of cheerful friendliness, and did not drop even as she murdered someone, although she seemed to carry nothing but spite for other humans. Unlike most others involved with the Dread Powers, she was purely motivated by personal greed and had no more ambitious spiritual goals.
Biography[]
Margaret Tellison was most likely born in the late 1800s and was a licensed medical professional. At some point in time, she got ahold of the Catalogue of the Trapped Dead, possibly by taking it from Jurgen Leightner, as the book was at some point owned by him. This was a book with pages made of skin, containing the souls of the skin's previous owner, whose souls were trapped inside the book. Somehow Margaret discovered how to use it and add more pages, as well as how to summon the souls trapped in the book. She began murdering her wealthier patients so she could use their souls to find their savings. She had some sort of agreement with the police, and they looked the other way when taking away her victims.
Sometime around 1955, Magaret moved to London and set up an office in Whitechapel on Saint Turner's Street. There she continued her operations, killing an older man and then asking his soul for bank statement. Shortly afterwards, she was snuck up on in her office, and was stabbed and killed by Mary Keay, a little girl who lived across the street and had witnessed her operation. Mary then turned her skin into a page and bound her soul to the book, although she didn't do it well, leaving Margaret in a horrific state between life in death.
Powers and Abilities[]
Margaret Tellison was somehow able to obtain and use the Catalogue of the Trapped Dead. Margaret would cut off the skin of dead patients and sow it into the catalogue, writing unknown words on them in Sanskrit to chain the soul of the deceased to it. She then had the soul completely under her power and could summon it whenever she so pleased.
