Marjorie Jacqueline "Marge" Simpson, also known as the Mystery Skank, is the main antagonist of "Mr. & Mrs. Simpson", a segment from the Simpsons Halloween episode Treehouse of Horror XVIII.
Like Homer Simpson, she is an assassin who is assigned to kill several targets, like Kent Brockman. While Homer was about to assassinate Kent, she distracted him and stabbed him with a knife. Homer, who's target got stolen by that mysterious woman, attempts to shoot her down, but he hits several civilians instead. Eventually, after a few failed shots from Homer, her blonde hair is shot away, revealing her to be actually Marge Simpson.
At the house, Marge attempts to kill Homer by poisoning him with a lasagna, but Homer knew about the poison and doesn't finish the lasagna, causing both him and Marge to pull out their weapons at each other and start a fight that goes on until Chief Wiggum arrives, only for him to be immediately killed by an arrow shot by Marge, ultimately reforming herself and spending time with Homer.
She was voiced by Julie Kavner.
Appearance[]
As the Mystery Skank, Marge Simpson wears a blonde wig over her head to hide her true identity, as well as a black dress. Other than these changes, Marge looks exactly the same as her canon counterpart.
Biography[]
During what is presumed to be marriage counseling, Marge and Homer talk about a brief conflict they had with each other in the past. One day, during a party, Marge Simpson, as a professional assassin dubbed the "Mystery Skank", thwarted her husband's plans of killing Kent Brockman under the orders of Mr. Burns. Noticing this, Homer attempts to shoot her with his sniper, but she dodges the shots, which instead kill several party guests. One bullet, however, hits her hair and knocks it off, revealing Marge Simpson, who was wearing a blonde wig to hide her identity as an assassin.
At the Simpsons' house, Homer caught up to her while she was looking at her bloody machete. Marge hid the machete behind her to cover her actions, but Homer noticed the blonde wig on a blender. Making an excuse, she brings Homer to the dining room, where she serves a poisonous lasagna for Homer to eat. However, Homer realizes she was attempting to poison him and doesn't finish the rest of the lasagna so he would not fall under the effects of the poison. This causes Marge to pull out her guns from a pie and threaten Homer, who pulls out a shotgun in retaliation.
A shootout begins between the two as they use several weapons like grenades and a minigun, causing a large amount of destruction to the house and even killing Grandpa. Bart and Lisa notice the damage and think that Marge and Homer were fighting over them. Hiding their weapons, Homer and Marge pretend that they were not actually fighting, and Homer asks them if they want ice cream in bed. Marge complains how they would have stomachache because of him but Homer nearly shoots her with a crossbow. Chief Wiggum then enters the house, telling both of them that he received complaints from a certain “neighbor-ino” about the noises they were making. But before he could finish talking, Marge takes Homer's crossbow and shoots Wiggum in the heart, killing him, claiming he would've taken a bribe. Homer then admires Marge's talent at killing other people, which Marge replies that she also admires Homer's talent as well, ultimately reforming her as both her and Homer have a moment of love on Wiggum's corpse.
Back in the marriage counseling, Skinner explains that he brought both Homer and Marge for their son's misbehavior, not for a story of conflict. Homer and Marge both decide to shoot Skinner in response to this, killing him.
Trivia[]
- Marge Simpson in this segment is a direct homage to Mrs. Smith, as the segment is a parody of the 2005 movie Mr. & Mrs. Smith.
