Maria Ladrones is the main antagonist of the Courage the Cowardly Dog episode "Muriel Meets Her Match". She is accompanied by her husband Mano, who is a living arm. She was voiced by Antonia Rey
Appearance[]
At the start of the episode, Maria has a beehive hairstyle and wears a purple dress. After meeting Muriel, she takes on her appearance. The differences between them include Maria having much darker skin, a beauty mark, and red eyes.
Biography[]
Maria and her husband Mano are on the run from the cops up until the hide behind the Bagge household. After giving the police the slip, Maria notices Muriel and conducts a plan, having Mano cut the house's tv antenna.
After that, she introduces herself to Muriel and convinces her to provide her the combination to her safe. After that, she convinces Muriel to give her a makeover and have them look alike.
Once Muriel goes to sleep, Maria has Mano steal Muriel's glasses while she makes of with Muriel's personal information. With all this in toe, Maria and Mano steal the Grandmother diamond while leaving Muriel's documents at the crime scene.
Courage, realizing what happened, takes Muriel and gives chase after them. He gets into a fight with Mano, but is overcome. Muriel angered by Maria hurting Courage, takes action and gets them to crash, resulting in Maria and Mano's arrest and Muriel's acquittal.
