Marimonda is an antagonist in the Disney Junior animated series Elena of Avalor; is an evil mythical forest sprite who appeared in the special, “Elena of Avalor: Realm of the Jaquins”.
She was voiced by Noël Wells.

Marimonda appears in Realm of the Jaquins as the main antagonist. Long ago she attempted to destroy every city in Latin America, including Avalor, endangering humans. However, she was captured by the Birds of the Sun and imprisoned in Vallestrella in a mountain.
Centuries later, Victor Delgado and her daughter Carla Delgado free Marimonda to use her to conquer Avalor. They inspire her and so she Marimonda decides to return to Avalor to finish what she started. On her way, King Verago and his fellow Jaquins try to trap her in a crevice; at that moment Elena arrives and she involuntarily foils the plan. This allows Marimonda to capture Migs Luna and Skylar, so she can open the portal to Avalor.
While she is being chased by Elena and Skylar, she sings to tease them, "You Can't Chat Me!". Then after the song, she traps the two in vines, and goes away saying, "You Can't Catch Me"!
When he arrives right there at her entrance, Elena tries to trap her in the vase that Kitamos had given her, with an illusion of her scepter. However, the plan is sabotaged as Victor and Carla escape through the portal with Marimonda beginning to ensnare Avalor with deadly plants. As she makes her way to the palace, the Jaquins, Gabe, Francisco and the palace guards try to detain her, only for Marimonda to repress their efforts and incapacitate them. When Marimonda arrives at the castle entrance, she realizes too late that she was an illusion of Elena's, to her horror and is trapped in the jar as her vines recede. Elena then gives the jar to Quita Moz for her to keep.
It was revealed that Marimonda was a diversion to keep Elena and her friends busy while Victor and Carla took the red jewel that imprisoned her to Shuriki to regain her powers.
