Marius is the main antagonist of the 2016 film Underworld: Blood Wars. He is the new leader of the Lycans that seeks to win the war against the Vampire Covens. To that end, he began pursuing the Death Dealer Selene and her daughter Eve, intending to use their blood to create an army of super soldiers.
He was portrayed by Tobias Menzies, who also portrayed Jack Randall in the Outlander franchise and Tiber Saxon in Star Wars Rebels.
Biography[]
Other than that he is around six-hundred and thirty years old, little is known about Marius or his is the new leader of the Lycans, He manages to effectively organize the Werewolves and create an army, larger and more powerful than any of the previous Lycan armies. During this time, He is hunting Selene and her daughter Eve for their blood in order to become invincible and win the war.
At one point, he and his army follow Selene and David to the home of the Nordic Coven and proceeds to engage the entire coven in a battle (aided by his vampire lover Alexia) but his prey ultimately escapes.
He later leads an attack on the castle occupied by the Eastern Coven. During a fight with Selene a single drop of Marius' blood lands on her lip and it is revealed that he has already drained and presumably killed Selene's lover the Vampire/Lycan hybrid Michael Corvin in order to gain the temporary powers that a serum create with Michael's blood gave him. However, Marius loses as Selene gains the upper hand and rips off his spinal column, resulting in his instantaneous death.
After his death, Marius is decapitated by David, who shows his head to Marius' Lycan army, who forces them to fall back and leave.

- Marius shared many similarities with Lucian:
- Both were highly intelligent and capable leaders who successfully organized the fragmented Lycan forces into formidable, disciplined armies, something rarely seen among other Lycans.
- Both have long dark messy hair.
- Both employed sophisticated military tactics, moving beyond the "rabid dog" instinct of their brethren. Marius's army notably used human form combat and riot shields, while Lucian used firearms and wrist-mounted blades, a departure from traditional Lycan brawling.
- Both had a vampire as a lover (Alexia for Marius, Sonja for Lucian), which highlights a willingness to cross bloodlines, though their reasons were different. Lucian genuinely loved Sonja and was willing to risk everything to be with her, while Marius became involved with Alexia, purely to further his own strategic advantage against his enemies.
- Both sought to use blood derived from a Corvinus (Eve for Marius, Michael for Lucian) to enhance their species and win the war against the Vampires. Ironically, Marius had used Michael's blood to temporarily gain powerful, hybrid abilities.
