While producing films, he became acquainted with actresses like June Ballard, and later married a young actress named Gloria. During his tenure, Bishop secretly started to sexually exploit actresses who wanted to make it big, and had his colleague Marlon Hopgood involved with his crimes. June was angered at Bishop, and decided to form a plan to get back him, by bringing her niece Jessica Hamilton to Hopgood's prop store to meet the producer. Due to June and Jessica's survival, the police were involved and Detectives Cole Phelps and Stefan Bekowsky were sent to investigate the incident. Ballard soon had her husband Guy McAfee order a hit on him for his attempt to murder her, which resulted in Gloria being confronted by some of the men in an attempt to scare her. Scared for his life, Bishop went into hiding at an abandoned movie set, but it's unknown if he did so after his attempt to murder Ballard or after learning there was a hit put on him. The detectives then interrogated Hopgood after collecting evidence, and Phelps chased after Bishop when they reached the abandoned movie set. Mark eventually accepted his arrest when cornered, but Phelps and Bekowsky had to protect him from McAfee's men. Once the rest of the police arrived, Bishop was sent to prison for his crimes.
