Mark Corrigan is the main protagonist of the 2003 - 2015 British dark sitcom Peep Show.
He was played by actor and comedian David Mitchell.
Personality[]
Mark Corrigan is portrayed in Peep Show as being extremely socially awkward and self-conscious. He is, however, of high intelligent, having an IQ in the 130s. Mark's view towards romantic partners can best be described as fickle, believing any woman willing to have a coffee with him to be 'The One'.
Mark is very unsociable, not out of rudeness, but rather an inability to enjoy activities that others enjoy, often only tolerating it out of his desire to socially fit in.
Mark is also shown to be, quite clearly egomaniacal, believing everyone around him, at least once, to be morally/intellectually beneath him.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
Mark Corrigan was born in 1973 to parents Pamela and Daniel Corrigan. His father, Daniel, was emotionally abusive and indifferent to Mark through much of his life, likely causing Mark's social issues. Another root cause of Mark's social issues was caused in secondary school when Dan Corrigan's British Aerospace shares fell through, and Mark was withdrawn from private schooling and released into public education.
Mark's sister, Sarah Corrigan was born in 1976, and his parents attention shifted onto her.
