Vaizel Fight Festival arc[]
With the Seven Deadly Sins participating in the Veizel Fight Festival, Marmas was being ordered by Lord Hendrickson to lead an assault team that consisted of Gulia and Jericho in order to take Meliodas's broken sword, to capture Princess Elizabeth, and, as a side mission, to defeat the Seven Deadly Sins who were present at the festival.
They were riding on two flying mantas to the festival. As they arrive, they immediately begin to attack the town. While Gulia confronts Meliodas, and Jericho confronts Ban, Marmas makes his way to confront Diane. While Howzer and Diane were having a conversation, Marmas interrupted them by introducing himself and explaining that he's leading the assault team that is attacking the town. As Diane saves an injured old man who was hit by the rubble of a house, Marmas attacks her using his Gravity Manipulation ability. Howzer is shocked by Marmas attacking Diane while she is helping the old man, which injures the man. Diane manages to throw to Howzer the old man before the ground collapses, opening a chasm beneath her, leaving Howzer to confront Marmas over his acitons.
As Howzer moans for Diane, Marmas senses a great ammount of power and leaves to aid Gulia and Jericho but is stopped by Howzer, who questions him. Marmas answers by explaining that Diane is a dangarous villain plotting to overthrow the kingdom, and that the lives of a citizen or two mean nothing for the greater good. Howzer responds by daring Marmas to name who is the worse criminal: the giantess who bravely risked her life to defend a civilian, or the "Roly-poly" who kills innocent individuals without justification. Marmas tries to attack Howzer after being insulted by being called "roly-poly" for his appearance. However, Hawk Mama unexpectedly shows up and dumps Diane's clothes down the chasm she had previously fallen into. Marmas is struck into the ground as he tries to push Hawk's mother away by a powerful fist that descends from the chasm.
After Diane strikes Marmas, and climbs out of the chasm, she greets the relieved Howzer, and requests that he will take the injured old man and Marmas, and escape Vaizel. Howzer does what she asks, and escapes with Marmas and the old man.
