Biography[]
Tales of the Empire[]
Marrok was originally an Inquisitor who served the Galactic Empire tasked with hunting down surviving Jedi who managed to evade Order 66. He alongside First Brother, Fourth Sister and Barriss Offee were present at Fortress Inquisitorius on Nur when the Grand Inquisitor introduced them to their master, Darth Vader.
Ahsoka[]
After the Empire fell, he became a mercenary and came to work for the former Magistrate of Corvus and witch of Dathomir Morgan Elsbeth. Marrok is first seen on the planet Arcana, along with mercenaries Baylan Skoll, Shin Hati and Morgan Elsbeth in the ruins of a Nightsister temple. Elsbeth then explains that Ahsoka Tano had stolen a map leading to Grand Admiral Thrawn's location. Marrok watched as Elsbeth walked away towards the ruins of the temple.
He is then sent to Morgan's former factory operated by Imperial sympathizers on Corellia by Elsbeth in order to distract Ahsoka from following a CT-O5 transport that was delivering a super hyperdrive to the Denab system. He and an HK droid dueled Tano and managed to match her more expert lightsaber skills. Tano manages to separate Marrok and the HK droid, and focuses on the Inquisitor.
During the duel, Tano impales the HK droid with one of her lightsabers and uses it as shield while attacking Marrok. Ahsoka slices the HK droid to pieces and the two face down. Marrok continued the duel despite the loss of his assassin droid. Marrok switches his double-bladed spinning lightsaber into twin lightsaber mode. Ahsoka continues to fight Marrok, who proved to be a formidable adversary. Tano then uses her Force powers to push Marrok back but shielded himself with his lightsaber. Just then, Marrok's vambrace begins pinging and he hurls his lightsaber like a boomerang at the Jedi.
He then sprints towards an Eta-class shuttle, piloted by Shin, which strafes Tano. She survives the blaster fire and watches Marrok on the gangplank with Hati. Marrok also summons back his lightsaber with the Force. After the hyperdrive was taken off-world, he escaped in the shuttle with Shin. They returned to the Eye of Sion space station that was in orbit above the planet Seatos. He attended a meeting through hologram along with Shin and Baylan to speak with Morgan about the recent turn of events. After Elsbeth said what her plans were, Marrok ended his holographic transmission.
When Ahsoka, Sabine and their droid Huyang later entered the Denab system, Marrok and Shin Hati along with three scout guards chased after them in Fiend starfighters. They managed to destroy a few scout ships but Ahsoka's starfighter was damaged causing it to enter the planet's atmosphere with Hati and Marrok in pursuit. Marrok spotted Tano on the wing of her shuttle and fired. But the pair lost their ship in a herd of Purgills.
Death[]
On the planet surface, one of Elsbeth's HK assassin droids eventually found Tano's crew nearby their ship and notified Shin and Marrok of Tano and her crew's location. Elsbeth received conformation from the two mercenaries, with Skoll ordering Shin and Marrok to engage the Jedi. Marrok accompanied Hati into the forest where they blocked Tano and Wren's path while they went searching for the star map. Marrok dueled with Ahsoka while Shin dueled Sabine again. Tano faces Marrok and drew one of her white lightsabers and Marrok activates his double-bladed spinning lightsaber and the two engage in another lightsaber duel.
During the duel, Marrok spun his blades defiantly, preparing for an attack. As the two stepped forward, Tano dodged the strike and slashed a large cut through Marrok's armor. As he died, a puff of thick green smoke bursts from the wound in his armor, kneeling as his legs and arms shriveled up then he fell to the ground followed by a piercing shriek. Shin was shocked by his demise which interrupted her duel with Wren. His remains were left in the forest of Seatos.

Trivia[]
- Unlike his fellow Dark Side Adepts, Marrok seems to have no Star Wars Legends counterpart.
- The dark green mist that erupted from Marrok's chest after his demise was suspiciously similar to Savage Opress when he died on Mandalore by Darth Sidious. This suggests that he was some sort of Inquisitor who was reanimated, enhanced or brainwashed to become Morgan’s servant through her magicks.
- Marrok was first thought to be the Eighth Brother, Ahsoka encountered on Malachor, although this was proven false when the creators said Marrok is a different character.
- Marrok shares the same name as Embo's Anooba, Marrok.
- Marrok's name may be a reference to Marrok, a knight from the Arthurian legend, who was transformed into a werewolf by his wife, who was taught how to do so by Morgan le Fay (who shares the same first name with Marrok's master).
- Marrok's Inquisitor rank was unrevealed but in Star Wars Encyclopedia: The Comprehensive Guide to the Star Wars Galaxy it was confirmed to be First Brother.
