~ An MC&D announcer in "Acquisitions - a Marshall, Carter & Dark Tale Act I". |
“ | Without question, Marshall, Carter and Dark are one of the most important pieces on the chessboard of the anomalous world; occasionally putting other players into check, but never into mate. For Marshall, Carter and Dark, the planet is an intricate network they have secured safely beneath their thumb, where winning and losing are meaningless terms. There is no need to move pieces when you can move the board. When you can end the match at any time, there's only one reason to continue. It's all about playing the game. |

~ Excerpt from the "Marshall, Carter and Dark Hub". |
“ | MC&D's clientele are the businesses of the anomalous world, such as Ambrose and Dr. Wondertainment™. "Normalcy" may drive demand for the anomalous, but the capital involved is just as anomalous as the products produced. Working through a middle man is a small price to pay when the alternative is not making any money in the first place. MC&D does not care for money. They do not care about gold, or jewelry, or wealth beyond pursuit of their primary interest. So, what do Marshall, Carter, and Dark care for? Simple: Power. |

~ MC&D's description in "The Trashfire" hub. |
Marshall, Carter and Dark Ltd., abbreviated to MC&D, are major antagonists in the SCP Foundation series. It is a mysterious business club of aristocrats that specializes in the sale of anomalous entities and objects for profit. Although it makes itself appear as an affable and friendly business company, they have committed a series of unethical acts of profit, such as weapons, drugs, and even human trafficking.
MC&D plays a major role in the "Third Law" canon, is an antagonist in the "Game Day" series, and is the main antagonist in the "Acquisitions" series, and the overarching protagonist in "Wills And Ways", "All That Glitters" and "Black Diamond Billions" series.
History[]
Possible Origins[]
(Due to the lack of canon in the SCP universe, the history of MC&D is up to the readers to choose.)
Person of Interest - Mr. Dark[]
The origins of MC&D and the main founder Mr. Dark are a complete mystery. There's the book titled Lives of the Famous Alchemists that gives a detailed history behind the man and the organization, but it's not corroborated by historical facts or the people involved. Mr. Dark was born Guillaume D’Arc around 1403 in the village of Domrémy, Lorraine as Jacques D’Arc's illegitimate eldest son and half-brother of Jeanne D’Arc. After being rejected as a priest, Darc assisted his sister in the Siege of Orleans and became friends with French Marshal and serial killer Gilles de Rais due to sharing interest in alchemy. Darc later fled to London while de Rais was executed, changing his name to William Dark, becoming a notable collector, dealer and auctioneer of alchemical and magical supplies, and even gaining the position of Consulting Alchemist to the Royal Family in 1455. In his pursuit of eternal life, he met with fellow alchemist by the name of Beatrice who helped him in stoping his aging.
In the following centuries, Dark maintained his business by hiding his true identity behind fake names or his descendants. Determined to stay in the shadows, Dark befriended three partners and in 1871 founded a private club named Marshall, Carter, Dark and Teacher. Marshall and Carter were supposed to be the public faces who would interact with the club's members, leaving Dark and the Teacher to procure anomalous items to provide to said members. Unfortunately, five years into business, Dark had a falling out with the Teacher and the latter left, causing the club to be renamed Marshall, Carter and Dark. Before the turn of the 20th century, Dark discovered the Wanderer's Library and became one of its regular patrons. He also converted a building in the Ways into the private Dark's Museum where he stored his personal collection of anomalies, and intended to use MC&D as a way to dispose of unwanted items.
SCP-001:O5[]
Marshall was part of a force of 150 soldiers, lead by the future O5-1, sent to shut down the Anderson Factory, which Dark had separately help establish. Once the Factory was seized, however, Marshall saw the anomalous products it had produced and seeing that he could make a fortune selling, he and his underling Dawkins went to form Marshall, Carter and Dark.
SCP-001 (djkaktus's Proposal III)[]
Marshall, Carter and Dark was founded around the 20th century by Skitter Marshall, L. Carter and Obadiah Dark, the former two being acquaintances of Aaron Siegel, Frederick Williams, Vincent Arians, Felix Carter and Ansel Shaw, the future founders of the SCP Foundation. Later due to SCP-4760, Obadiah was erased from existence and replaced by Winston Dark.
Rich Man's World[]
The organization that would become Marshall, Carter and Dark was founded in the city-state of Kish, circa 2300 BCE by a deific spirit of avarice and profits that would be known as Mr. Dark. This entity was born out of the Sumerian king Jushur's hunger for gold. Jushur was a demigod obsessed with gold and reigned over the city-state of Kish. He was eventually betrayed by his stablemaster Bish-Ka and his army's leader Gudibir who brought him in a cavern on the banks of the Buranuna river where he was bound in gold and pierced through his heart. His hunger soon manifested from the wound and enveloped Jushur's body, making a deal with Bish-Ka and Gudibir to grant them power over kings which their descendants would inherit and in exchange they would grant anything that it wished.
Their descendants became wealthy merchants who had influence over the royalty but continued to serve the hunger that still possessed Jushur's corpse. As Kish was being conquered by Sarrukin of Akkad, the latest descendants, Ur-Bish and Gudnisub, convinced Jushur's own descendant, king Ur-Zababa, to give them his son Enshaku so he could become the hunger's new host. Midway through, Enshaku refused to proceed, leaving the merchants to kill him, which led to them to turn to Sarrukin who had just taken over the city-state. He gave the duo Jushur's bastard descendant Zimudar to act as the hunger's new host instead in order for him to reign all of Kish without any exception. Ur-Bish and Gudnisub accepted and soon they vacated Zimudar's body for the hunger to enter inside, allowing him to tether himself to the Earthly realm.
The three lineages continued manipulating the royalty until the time of the Roman Empire, during which the hunger's tomb was transported through the Tiber river and to Londinium where he and the descendants of his two partners had been residing since. There he adopted the name Dark, while the two families became known as the Marshalls and Carters, and established their new business, MC&D, which would be inherited by their descendants, along with the duty of providing Dark new hosts. Though the Marshalls and Carters were replaced normally by their successors, Dark continued possessing the bodies of his descendants by having his new partners conduct the macabre ritual every couple of generations.
The Beginnings of Normalcy and Its Future[]
Marshall, Carter and Dark was one of the many groups that were formed by the wealthy bourgeoisie and nobility during the Renaissance following the end of the Dark Ages. Following the Sixth Occult War, Percival Darke would assign the Convention on Preternatural Phenomena alongside the other representatives of the most powerful governments and occult organizations to establish the Veil of Secrecy.
Business[]
Marshall, Carter and Dark managed to spread their business worldwide, selling invaluable anomalies to the rich. However, this led to MC&D to go on numerous conflicts with the SCP Foundation, causing several problems for the organization. To accomplish their objectives, MC&D used financial and political pressure instead of direct force. They used money and social pressure to cause a number of containment breaches, approaching Foundation personnel with unmeasurable amounts of money, and if that didn't work then they would threaten the personnel with incarceration and torture. At some point, after MC&D members were refused access to two Foundation containment sites, they nearly managed to bring those facilities to the public view, but thankfully that outcome was evaded.
Edward Gradley, a new employee of the Cooper Drake investment firm, was introduced to MC&D through his senior David Went who worked to bring them anomalies to gain their favor. Becoming desperate to have successful investments in companies, Gradley also joined MC&D to provide them potential products in exchange for manipulating the businesses to help him. Unbeknownst to him, his father Bernard had made a deal with MC&D to sacrifice his son's chess skills to them so they could provide him with enough resources to form Gradley Industries. Eventually, Edward's superior, Raymond MacIntyre who also worked for MC&D, feared that David would surpass him and had MC&D take him out. Gradley figured out he might be next and betrayed MC&D by collaborating with a group of conspiracy theorist hackers going by the name of the Four Horsemen to steal a couple of anomalous artifacts. He faked his assassination and left a letter besides his "body" revealing the existence of MC&D to the Camden police and its illegal involvement with Cooper Drake, framing specifically MacIntyre. With the anomalous objects in his possession, Gradley used them to join the Foundation, while MC&D paid an expensive lawyer to drop the charges raised against them and erase information pertaining to their existence from Scotland Yard's records.
Later on, as Percival Darke prepared to depart from the organization, he planned for one of his descendants to take his place. His only remaining descendant was his trans granddaughter Iris Dark who was kidnapped since she was young and as a result of this she grew to be a greedy and merciless businesswoman similar to Percival.
At one of MC&D's Boutique Summer Camps named "Happy Acres Youth Camp" in Wyoming which served as a "Discreet Summer Getaway For The Children of Our Distinguished Clientele" an outbreak happened all of a sudden, turning the residents into violative zombies. MC&D contacted the Foundation to ask it for help in containing the outbreak, and Mobile Task Force Beta-7 was sent to assert the situation. Beta-7 managed to quarantine and contain the area, and soon Mobile Task Force Beta-5 arrived to take down the zombies while rescuing the uninfected people. It was discovered that the outbreak was caused by a strain of SCP-008 enhanced with SCP-784-ARC's nanites, but the Foundation was unsure who might have been responsible for this. MTF Beta-5, assisted by SCP-105 and Agent Adams, managed to reduce the number of zombies, allowing MTF Nu-7 to secure the camp. With the situation solved at last, MC&D sent out letters of consolidations to the families of the victims, offering them refunding and assuring them to find the culprits behind the outbreak.
Wanting to gain additional items, MC&D formulated a plan to have the Foundation give them. They tricked a criminal gang known as the Herders into hijacking one of their vans filled with false replicas of their items, and then called the Foundation's Site-17 for help to get them back as part of their deal in which MC&D and the Foundation had to provide to each other. The Foundation sent SCP-4051 and SCP-4494 to track down the gang and retrieve the "stolen" items. During the fight between the heroes and the gang, MC&D set off an explosive hidden in the van, collapsing the entirety of the warehouse they were in and destroying the replicas. Although everyone came out mostly unscathed, the items were deemed lost, leaving the Foundation to replicate them to give to MC&D, completely unaware that they had been played.
Possible Endings[]
Quiet Days[]
One day, for unknown reasons, every single anomaly which ever existed was either neutralized or normalized, much to the shock of all of the GoIs. MC&D went out of business due to having nothing to sell, and soon most of its members were forgotten and their headquarters became a resting place for old rich people.
Old Kansas Sector ~ 13: I Was A Teenage Reality Bender[]
As the entire world was slowly being destroyed, MC&D continued operating since their leaders were extradimensional entities who weren't really affected by the reality change. They tasked an old woman SCP-239 to capture a girl named Gersha since her mind contained the Oneiric company named Envelope Logistics which MC&D wished to seize.
Broken Masquerade[]
After a Broken Masquerade occurred following the disappearance of North Korea, MC&D came out of the shadows and revealed themselves to the public in order to expand their clientele, while covering up all of their illegal actions they took while under the Veil. They undertook several businesses like exotic pets to not only profit but also improve their public image. However, in pursuit of a better image, MC&D lost their great power they once held, as they were unwilling to commit any more crime.
End of Death[]
When the embodiment of Death was destroyed and all life became immortal, MC&D had been attacked by MTF Iota-10, during which the MTF's captain Eric Michaels was left mortally wounded but didn't die. MC&D still continued with their work despite all of this, and as years went by they decided to use the new state of reality to sell an anomalous drug that would put people into a permanent coma to grant them the closest thing to death.
Ad Astra Per Aspera[]
Following the Broken Masquerade scenario in which the anomalous world became public knowledge, the Foundation evacuated humanity from Earth due to being plagued with numerous Lethe Events, and by the 22th century the human civilization expanded throughout space. MC&D took the opportunity to gain power in space, taking over most of the Outer Solar System due to the little presence the Foundation had. They began managing interplanetary criminal plans and gaining a new clientele in the form of the orbital elite. MC&D focused on Saturn, Jupiter and Zeta-01 where they sought to claim anomalies from territorial conflicts and bargains.
SCP-4991[]
During the destruction of the world brought by SCP-3916, a species of locusts that can rapidly reproduce asexually and devour any matter in their path, MC&D as per usual attempted to make a profit out of this event by selling anti-insect bunkers for 4 million dollars.
Starch and Cream[]
One day, the Foundation lost control of SCP-871, leading to the cakes multiplying so much that they quickly covered the entire world. MC&D lost most of their resources to the apocalypse and as a result of this they soon went out of business.
No Return[]
After the Foundation was dissolved into Vanguard, caused a Broken Masquerade scenario and integrating the anomalous world into the normal one, MC&D saw this as an opportunity to expand their reach and as a result grow their influence. Although MC&D wasn't prosecuted for the crimes they committed while under the Veil, they still came under the scrutiny of the public, especially by those who believed that the governments should have more control over the market. This didn't prevent them from capitalizing from current events, such as the Washington Virion outbreak.
Doctors of the Church[]
During a IK-Class "Collapse of Global Civilization" Scenario, also known as the "Great Breach", which regressed all of human to a medieval state, the three leaders of MC&D sought refuge in UnLondon along with all of their wealth. For reasons unknown, perhaps as a result of a curse put on them as punishment for their refusal to help the survivors or thanks to their own magic, the three of them were merged together into a ferocious three-headed dragon that would be known as Marscar the Dark. In the new world following the breach, the dragon proceeded to take over all of what remained of Great Britain, which had since been renamed to Uk, and because of this no normal human dared to settle in the land, except for those brave and foolish enough.
The dragon came to reside in Buckingham Palace where they accumulated various valuable artifacts, including Bright's accursed amulet. The SCP of the Holy Foundation sent the 11th Mobile Legion of Epsilon, also known as "the Nine", to retrieve the amulet of their psychopathic lord, but the dragon did quick work of them. Marscar the Dark was eventually slayed by a ragtag band of brave warriors, Perrin, Arcos, Moritz, Horatius and Geva, by channeling the power of the Broken God through SCP-2307-01.
Organization[]
“ | One of the main reasons I've chosen Marshall, Carter & Dark as the focus of this Force, is their access to significant amounts of funds. While financially supporting their actions is an obstacle for most other Groups of Interest, MC&D has no difficulty when it comes to footing the bill for their operation. The scope of limitations, in a group for whom money is no object, is nearly non-existent. While our current profile of the organization suggests they're unlikely to intentionally cause a K-class scenario, I don't believe that justifies allowing them to operate unchecked. |

~ MTF Mu-3 Maj. Roger Dunn on MC&D in "Application to Form MTF Mu-3: Documents". |
Marshall, Carter and Ltd. is a powerful organization that functioned both as a gentlemen's club and a auction house originating from London, England and present throughout Europe, America, Russia and China. It specialized in the sale of valuable anomalous artifacts and creatures, which they acquired through nefarious means. These rare and obscure products were sold exclusively to the extremely rich, including the depraved and the sadists, earning MC&D vast amounts of wealth and power all over the world. MC&D manipulated the poor, middle and rich classes into believing that they needed to spend their money to get their hands on these materialistic valuables, allowing them to gain market monopoly. Through centuries, MC&D had managed to maintain their position as the only organization that sold and traded anomalies, easily squashing any potential competitor.
MC&D had gained such immeasurable economic power that organizations like the Foundation, Global Occult Coalition and the Horizon Initiative could barely touch them. Their influence over the world was so great MC&D could level cities, bankrupt countries, and even plunge Earth in a thermonuclear war. Thankfully, MC&D required the Veil of Secrecy to function and be successful, and as a result they had no interest in causing anything major. Despite MC&D being this dangerous, they only had around one hundred personnel, though if additional manpower was required then they could bring in members of other organizations.
MC&D was founded by the three titular businessmen Mrs. Marshall, Carter and Dark. These three individuals were shrouded in mystery, especially regarding Dark, causing many rumors to form. They direct and streamline their operations to maximize efficiency and minimize costs. The three partners' relationship was solely based on business, and if in a difficult situation, they would be ready to backstab each other, especially Dark. MC&D rarely used force as they preferred using financial and political pressure. If left with no choice, MC&D made use of outside agents that could not be traced to them.
They mostly worked in forming supply lines between groups such as companies and anartists, such as Cooper Drake, Gradley Industries, Beaumont Shipping and Cholmondeley Holdings. MC&D also organized or sponsored various social events for the rich and the powerful, which included public figures like DJ deadmau5 and BBC personalities some of which were thought deceased like Trevor McDonald. Thanks to this MC&D could force these influential individuals into helping them in the business side of things, one example being the time they had American cost-cutter 'Mad Hacker' Reginald Price acquire Western Instruments to Edward Gradley in his investment.
MC&D had a website of their own, but it was just a password-protected portal with sealed whois information, while not listing any contact details. The only way for people find any facility belonging to MC&D or contact them was with the use of a business cards which held the address or phone number for MC&D's switchboard. Members were given a sheet of glass that served as a membership pass which was given only once to one person and if the holder was to break it then they would be unable to get back in touch with MC&D. The information these cards held were only visible to those MC&D trusted, making them invisible to unaffiliated parties, and if traitors attempted to tell those parties the card's information then it would change to lead them to a dead end.
MC&D displayed their cataloged anomalous products in their files that clientele could see. A lot of these products aren't in MC&D's possession, and instead they kept a watching eye on the item's current holder. The item's description in their files aren't very long and mostly summarized its effects and usefulness. MC&D doesn't keep living humanoids in prisons, and instead they induce them into a comatose state via drugs and are fed via feeding tubes. Regardless if the products are objects or people, MC&D always refer to them as just "items".
Their files for the items are identified with a series of nine letters and numbers equally separated with three slashes. These identifiers are made of nonzero and non-unary digits and capital letters, with the numbers 0 and 1 not being used as they could be mistaken for the letters O and I. The identifiers were used to only designate the items' files and not the items themselves. Following the designation, the file lists the Status, Demand, Value, Availability, Identifier, Description and Postscript.
- The status tells the item's current status which can be In Reserve, Selling, Sold, Renting, Acquirable, Unacquirable, Destroyed, and Unknown. If Sold then it should also include one of the latter four statutes in parentheses.
- The demand tells the demand for the item which can be High, Medium, Low or None, though two of these can be combined.
- The value tells the item's price rather than its true monetary value , especially when it comes to unique and limited items. A specific cost lower than three figures is applied to items available via supply chain, and a fixed price per hour or day is given to rented items. "Not For Sale" is given to items unsuitable for sale.
- The availability tells the item's availability which can be None, Unique, Current Inventory, Estimated, Worldwide and Established Supply Chain.
- The identifier is the common name MC&D employees give to the item to encapsulate its properties. If the item is an anart piece then the identifier is the name the author gave it. Although the file tells the identifier, it doesn't use it to refer to the item throughout the description.
- The description solely tells a short summarization of the item's properties, leaving out its current owner or creator. The description can just be four sentences long without using any scientific terms.
- The postscript tells MC&D's full title.
Following the file's header, there are the Compulsory Subsections. This includes the Initial Report that summarizes the item's discovery by MC&D. This contains the date of the discovery, the author who found the item or wrote the file, the event that led to the discovery, and MC&D's interest in the item. After that there is the information about either the tracking or the inventory behind the item. The Tracking Information is about the documentation of unique or limited item's current and previous owners. The Inventory Information is about the documentation of the receivers of multiple instances of the same item or established supply chains.
Next are the Additional Subsections which starts with the Rental Records. This records the period of time the item was rented, the renters, and small comments that detail what they did with it. The Auction Records documents an item's auction, its bidders and another description of the item that serves to enthral them. The Sale Records that tracks monthly or yearly sales records of items from established supply chains or large stockpiles, along with comments about particular abnormalities in sales numbers. Incident Reports which are internal documents written by MC&D to record notable events revolving the item. The Internal Memos which are small messages sent between employees. External Documents about the item written by other GoIs that were acquired by MC&D.
Lastly there are the Chatlogs that are messages sent between people talking about the item and the Custom Subsections that are different from the previous examples.
Relationships with Other Anomalous Factions[]
The SCP Foundation had a very complicated relationship with Marshall, Carter and Dark. On one hand, the Foundation saw MC&D as disturbing the Veil of Normalcy by selling dangerous anomalies to people from the public, and because of this would conduct numerous raids on various MC&D buildings to claim their property, even creating a Mobile Task Force, designated Mu-3 and also known as "Highest Bidders", to infiltrate MC&D's auctions and steal their anomalies. On the other hand, the Foundation and MC&D aren't active enemies, since MC&D have no interest in abolishing the Veil as it allowed them to work without repercussions, and have even collaborated on several occasions, as MC&D often had the organization as one of their clients while the Foundation was willing to send their forces to assist them financially or when dealing with anomalies too dangerous to control.
The Global Occult Coalition felt threatened by MC&D not only due to the latter distributing anomalies, but also due to the great financial and political they held. Despite this, MC&D opted to stay out of the GOC's way to keep conflicts between them at minimum.
Dr. Wondertainment has made a mutual agreement with MC&D in which the company supplies them with various and even limited products for people to get their hands on. Later, MC&D hired former Wondertainment worker and child serial killer Brainy Brian since they deemed his skills in souls and homunculi as useful.
The Unusual Incidents Unit also opposed Marshall, Carter and Dark, and when given the chance would attempt to raid their facilities. However, the UIU was extremely cautious of MC&D and wished to avoid direct confrontations. When MC&D's employees were being targeted by the Miracle Liberation Front led by SCP-6772, the UIU decided to protect the group for the time being.
MC&D has a complicated relationship with the Serpent's Hand, as sometimes they sell products to their members and other times the Hand attack MC&D to free some of their anomalies. Members of MC&D are allowed access to the Wanderer's Library, and they even contributed to the Library by returning it anomalies that were taken by the Foundation, Insurgency and GOC, though the Library was still cautious of them. The Library also knew of the Gypsimnum, Shylock's Quarter, and the Black Market which were identical in nature to MC&D, with Mr. Dark having a members of those groups as well. Depending on which version of the Black Queen, she can be an enemy, an ally, or even a member of MC&D.
When the Proponents of Paranormal Rights attacked the Foundation's Site-17, MC&D saw this as a chance to claim new anomalies, while having a low opinion on the new organization which they saw as being comprised of dimwitted college kids. However, when attempting to claim SCP-953, MC&D learned from her that the organization was founded by an individual known as the Teacher, who turned out to have been their fourth partner but left to start an anomalous revolution, causing the three partners to become alarmed.
MC&D has close ties with Anderson Robotics, with it being its official distributor of anomalies in 2014. However, AR's co-founder Phineas Frostman detested MC&D and was the main reason for betraying the company and allying with the Foundation.
MC&D often worked with the Chicago Spirit criminal organization on anomalous business matters. After the downfall of the Chicago Spirit due to the incarceration of Richard Chappell, MC&D acquired the criminal organization's remaining members and anomalies in 1938. It later turned out that Mr. Night, the true founder and leader of the Chicago Spirit, was Darke's brother.
The Chaos Insurgency has a close relationship with MC&D, with CI members buying anomalies from MC&D. However, the Insurgency wasn't above attacking MC&D, as it had used SCP-4566 to take out a couple of the Carter family members.
The Seven Society was an affiliate of MC&D that dabbles in extranormal merchant activity in Tallahassee, Florida. Both MC&D and the Seven Society were part of the Southern United States Extranormal Organization Cooperation Treaty that forbid them and the Foundation from interfering with each other's operations as long as they abide to the rules of not harming Americans.
MC&D has both sold anomalies to Prometheus Labs, and acquired valuable paratechnological devices from the company to sell to other clients.
Herman Fuller's Circus of the Disquieting had a tough relationship with MC&D. Herman Fuller specifically worked together with MC&D to gain profit, though often at the expense of the Circus' members who came to fear MC&D, and saw purchasing Freaks as liberating them. After Fuller was disposed of, the relationship not only remained intact but improved as Icky and her girlfriend Li'l Lollipop became friends with Iris. The MC&D even assigned their young representative Victor Chan as a client for the Circus to act as its 'straight-man' and audience surrogate.
The Gamers Against Weed and the Manna Charitable Foundation were opposed to MC&D's practices and disregard for the poor, while the latter paid them no mind. GAW member and Mr. Marshall's secret lover Zelda once coerced Marshall to donate millions of money to her group's game competitions.
The Horizon Initiative has worked with MC&D, but kept its distance from them as it didn't trust them.
MC&D made a deal with The Factory to buy and sell its demented products. Despite this, MC&D was extremely wary of The Factory as they knew its real malevolent nature and was not to be messed with. It was later revealed that the Investor of The Factory was also Darke's brother, though this didn't prevent him and his subordinates to attack Iris.
ORIA once detained two salesmen of MC&D when they attempted to sell anomalies to it in its territory. However, ORIA decided to return them to their organization since they didn't interact with civilians and wished to improve its relation with MC&D.
The mysterious party, Nobody is antagonistic to MC&D, and even helped their ex-employee Eugene Thacker to get away from them after rescuing the clones of his friend and form his separate company called Inevitability Industries.
MC&D saw members of Are We Cool Yet?, Church of the Broken God and Sarkicism as potential clients to sell products to, though they would also take advantage of their anomalies. However, in SCP-4273, the Sarkites attacked one of Skitter Marshall during their secret rise, causing him to go missing. MC&D once bought countless copies of Donald Trump's soul from Joey Tamlin and his circle of anartists to create clones of the president which they could give to their clients who wished to personally torture him.
The Fifthist rock band Constellation Starfish once performed for a banquet held by MC&D which led to their members being taken over by the force behind Fifthism.
Members of MC&D were able to visit the interdimensional kingdom of Alagadda ruled over by the Hanged King without problem since they were affiliated with the kingdom. To gain the King's favor, MC&D's leaders gave him the remains of SCP-096 for him to resurrect as one of his servants, and as gratitude they granted by the Ambassador personal suites within the royal palace. They also made business with the Wandsman Ickis the Wayward and to an extent the interdimensional city of Kul-Manas, though their business deal went through a bit of a tremble due to the leader of the city's Guildmaster accusing them of fraud, but the misunderstanding was immediately resolved thanks to the Circus' Lil' Lollipop.
MC&D once hunted down a family of SCP-1000 and captured a younger surviving member named Billy who was left brain damaged which they sold to Herman Fuller. He eventually died, leaving Fuller to skin him in order to sell his fur back to MC&D. When SCP-1000's city of Druv'tuul became open to the public, MC&D wished to grow their influence in it through investments. This led to its current king to commission JOICL for a mean to obtain money, leading to the creation of 終-Y-1789.
Lord Blackwood was an acquaintance of MC&D, specifically Edwin Dark, but it appeared that they don't have a good relationship.
MC&D has claimed several of Syncope Symphony's products with the intention of selling them to potential buyers.
MC&D and the Oneiroi Collective made a collaboration agreement in which MC&D would sell Oneiroic products that allowed the collective to spread its influence on material realm. MC&D would also consult representatives of the Oneiroi about their items, but always met in dreams and never in the real world. After an accident caused during Brainy Brian's creation of Ruprecht Carter's ideal body, the body hoping partner ended up in the Oneiroi world in a monstrous form which caused some chaos. MC&D recompensated to the Oneirois for the damage Carter caused, while Brian wasn't held accountable for this.
Anomalous pharmacist dado had tried to establish a business deal with MC&D by repeatedly contacting Iris Dark. Dark refused to have anything to do with him, but seeing that he wouldn't leave her alone, she did help him with his business by advising dado to stick with pharmacology instead of expanding to other fields.
After the Children of the Scarlet King stole SCP-140 from a MC&D associate Richard Bruce, MC&D alerted the Foundation of this as they feared the world threatening danger posed by the resurgence of the Daevites.
MC&D occasionally books one of the Ambrose Restaurants, and in other occasions Ambrose serves food for the club's banquets. MC&D and Ambrose once collaborated with the independent record company King of Hearts Collective and the BackDoor Soho Artistic Associates to build a new restaurant in Backdoor SoHo that entertained customers with art, but the establishment became haunted by GAW's Mrs. Gentrification.
Following Arcadia's shutdown of a virtual reality game of the Japanese video game developing group Togenkyo, the developer Souma Shinoda finished it in secret and as revenge tried to sell it to MC&D. MC&D tried to auction the game under the title of Project KOTODAMA, but Arcadia found out about this and had IJAMEA crash the negotiations. This resulted in the destruction of the game which induced the video game physics into the surrounding area that came to be known as Yumegēmu.
MC&D once hired the Valravn Corporation to massacre The Hunter's Black Lodge after it wronged them. Valravn made sure the Lodge regretted trying to cheat MC&D, and seeing the success of the job MC&D was very satisfied with the Corporation's services.
MC&D constructed several showrooms and warehouses in the island of Hy-Brasil before it was destroyed. They made several investments in the interdimensional nexus of Esterberg which contributed to its economy. They were also present in Three Portlands and Eurtec.
In the reality of the Shark Punching Center, MC&D were known as Marshall, Carter and Shark, with Mr. Shark being a monstrous shark. The SPC considered them an enemy, until it helped in overthrowing Mr. Shark, leading to MC&S to try rebrand themselves into just Marshall and Carter Ltd.
In the past, Darke had sabotaged the expeditions undertaken by the Commission on Unusual Cargo which had been collaborating with Her Majesty's Foundation for the Secure Containment of the Paranormal, both predecessors of the Foundation, as part of his plan for him and his organization to gain more power over the anomalous world.
The insurance firm Goldbaker-Reinz Ltd. held a disdain for MC&D for reasons unclear, and refused to do any type of business with them.
Greazeburger Incorporated once sold its Greazeburger Mayonnaise-Summoning Thaumaturgical Rune Applier to Frederick E. Dark Jr. of MC&D for 2.8 million dollars, but the device proved to be fake, faulty and needlessly destructive. MC&D sued Greazeburger's Martin Greaze over this, but the court was suddenly interrupted by the Foundation raiding the courtroom, allowing Greaze to get away.
The House of Stars has occasionally stolen from MC&D without getting caught. However, after rescuing SCP-239 from her containment, the House made a deal with MC&D to put her under a geas that forced her to work for them in exchange for removing her chemical constraints. This deal eventually came to an end with the help of SCP-8888.
The transport company known as GpExpress Logistics originated as the MC&D Logistics Department before it separated from the club, though the two still maintained their relationship since MC&D was one of GpExpress' biggest customers.
SCPs associated with the MC&D[]
- SCP-050: An indestructible monkey statue that transfers its ownership to the person who pranked its owner, and as their property it would clean up space while leaving small traps around. MC&D had apparently in their property a similar anomalous object, a wind-up monkey labelled 7H, which Edwin Gradley threw at Marshall when escaping a warehouse.
- SCP-079: An AI programmed in an old computer which was forgotten in 5 years, during which it had developed its own ability to think and speak, showing its subtle misanthropy and desire to evolve. MC&D apparently had tried to replicate in one of their warehouses but later abandoned it, as Edwin Gradley saw an Exidy computer laying around.
- SCP-089: A metallic statue depicting Moloch which at infrequent time would predict catastrophes, and required a mother to burn her child inside it in order to avert the destructive events. According to the Serpent's Hand, MC&D held in their possession several statues of Moloch which they sold to new customers interested in the occult.
- SCP-102: A pair of of beach houses, each designated SCP-102-1 and SCP-102-2, owned by Ghieser Housing Associates, a front company of MC&D, that are rented exclusively to their members. If non-leaseholders break into SCP-102-1 they would find it abandoned since the 70s and with the body of the leaseholder laying at the entrance. If an individual whose name is on the lease enters the building, they would transported to a layer of reality that in which the building's inside appears as a normal condominium, while the leaseholder became a ghost when they attempted to get out. This continues until the lease is over, at which point everything returns to normal. SCP-102-2 is similar to the other building as it far more rotten, causes leaseholders that do not exit in time to disappear, and if they get out they were to be afflicted with a sickness that can be countered with a regimen of steroid-based enhancers.
- SCP-177: A chess board and pieces made out of elephant ivory with the black pieces being unable to be removed from their respective positions. When a person moves the white pieces, the black pieces would move at a high speed by themselves in reaction, allowing the person to have a live single-player chess game. MC&D appears to have a copy of this set, as when appearing in Edward Gradley's dream Mr. Carter presented him a chessboard that counteracted his every move.
- SCP-209: A used glass tumbler that contains an unknown golden-brown translucent alcoholic liquid when not held by a human, and cannot be removed out of the glass except through drinking it. When drank it causes the drinker to feel better and can become easily addicted to it. When an individual drinks it in the presence of another person, the drinker would relax while the other person would be unable to get near them or leave their presence. Then as the drinker describes the glass and the liquid, those remarks would be reflected on the other person's body, often disfiguring or killing them, until the glass is emptied at which point the victim could leave while the drinker would attempt to refill it. According to MC&D employee Wehrner, they had an instance of the glass or were its previous owners.
- SCP-255: A browser extension created for various internet browsers that acts as an ad blocker and is accompanied by a mascot named "Bonba" resembling a cartoony pink cube-shaped cat, designated SCP-255-1. When in presence of visible ads, Bonba would produce a random weapon and destroy the image along with the link to the advertised site, but a day later Bonba would manifest in real life and violently kill a person associated with the advertiser, with the wealthiest ones suffering a more agonizing death. One of primary groups affected by this anomaly was MC&D, with Percival Darke nearly falling victim to Bonba, since they owned the normal companies that were advertised in the internet.
- SCP-353: A woman known as Vector who can store various diseases and viruses, change them, and dispense them to groups of people. After breaking out of Site-17 thanks to the Proponents of Paranormal Rights' attack, she was later captured by MC&D.
- SCP-374: A guillotine from the French Revolution, previously in the possession of MC&D, that when used to decapitate someone, it would cause the severed head to be possessed by Jean-Philippe-Horace-Donatien from the same time period and remain alive for around thirty-five minutes.
- SCP-384: A door to a room that, when passed through by a human without being observed, would cover all of the rooms walls, ceiling and pavement in black tar, at which point the door closes and the trapped individual would hear the voice of a missing little girl, designated SCP-384-1. The girl would talk to the person for one minute and forty-four seconds before convincing them to open the door, which would now lead to a dimension resembling the Los Angeles La Brea tar fields and cause the individual to die in a explosion. MC&D had kept the door in a single room building for their psychotic clients to use, traumatizing the voice, until the Foundation claimed it.
- SCP-418: A strong Native American man known as Laughing Badger who could cut apart his body parts that still function as if they were still attached, and could be reattached by simply reconnecting them which left no sign of injury. He inherited it from his family, which allowed him to become an expert industrial saboteur, and at some point was paid by MC&D to gain compromising data on a Foundation doctor, but was captured.
- SCP-434: An antique conference table that if surrounded by eight chairs and a person sits on one of them, seven copies of the individual would appear in the other seats. Each copy embodies an aspect of the person's personality, those being: flaw denial (SCP-434-1), selfishness (SCP-434-2), laziness (SCP-434-3), self-centeredness (SCP-434-4), intrinsic motivation (SCP-434-5), aggressiveness (SCP-434-6), and decision making (SCP-434-7). These aspects would try to advise to their full self, and if one of them is killed then the individual would lose that part of personality and associated emotions or body functions forever. It was apparently built using the components of another anomaly, and stored in the Vatican's vault until MC&D stole it.
- SCP-446: A living Caucasian woman made by MC&D that doesn't breathe, eat or display any form of sentience, only moves if directed by her owner and possesses rapid healing. Metal blockages are put in all of her orifices, and her brain, heart, liver, and kidneys are sealed inside metal boxes that are connected with wires and hoses. She was apparently a normal human girl who had forcefully undergone a procedure by MC&D to be turned into a living mannequin for their customers to play with, and may still retain some sentience.
- SCP-476: A collection of Canadian road maps created by Rand McNally and released by the Canadian Cartographics Corporation that includes non-existing, missing and conflated locations. If people followed the maps step-by-step, they would surely be able to reach the anomalous location, but if not used much then they would likely miss their destination and return to normal roads. People living in these locations find nothing wrong with their land, and without the maps these places were unreachable. MC&D had a copy of this map book which they rented to their clients, such as SCP-841's creator.
- SCP-568: A white leather-like flexible strap with a seamed side and a smooth side which can be attached together. When wrapped around an object on both ends, it can split the object in two halves, with the cut surface displaying a white surface, and could be reattached and the strap removed without any damage. Performers provided by MC&D were fitted with several of these straps to remove their limbs in front of the audience.
- SCP-576: A small glass bottle containing a mixture of fructose and water, designated SCP-576-1, which can be refilled by itself when emptied. If a person drinks it, the following night the drinker would experience hyperreal dreams based on their memories, especially those the person holds dear. This bottle was part of series of bottles created and sold by MC&D, though it can easily become addicting.
- SCP-578: A colorless and odorless solution of water, silicon, and an enzyme created by MC&D that is capable of crystalizing human blood into opal-like structures, designated SCP-578-1. MC&D used this to construct jewelry of blood opals which they aim to sell to their clients.
- SCP-604: A luxurious set of 19 plates and 21 wineglasses that transmutes any type of food or drink into human flesh and liquids that resembled their previous forms. If living animals were placed within them they would be transformed into disembodied living human body parts. MC&D acquired it from a secluded abbey where the attendants used to metaphorically the body of the Christian God given to them by Him, and used it in their events' meal portion. MC&D formed The Cannibal's Banquet for their members only who were urged to indulge in cannibalism, which included both cooked and living human parts, but was eventually taken by the Foundation.
- SCP-652: A Basset Hound male dog raised and operated on by MC&D to accurately predict meteorological events on certain countries and speak the word describing the type of event in the country's native language. He was sold to a colonel, but that wasn't what he wished and severely mistreated the dog before returning the dog to MC&D, at which point it was intercepted by the Foundation.
- SCP-678: A small sleeping angel statuette that if touched by someone, it would absorb the person's negative memories, leaving blank spaces, but if they keep touching it then all of their memories would be absorbed, leaving them to die as their brain forgot how to function, during which time they would be filled with dread. After being filled with memories, the statue would stand up, open its eyes and clench its teeth, and when touched by another person, it would transfer the stored memories into that individual, while reverting to its prior position. A Belgian man had obtained the statue due to being a MC&D patron and tricked veterans into touching to see how they reacted, only for both him and the statue to get captured by the Foundation.
- SCP-737: A organism resembling a toy train that absorbs most things on its path, though it would release a toxic gas if incapable of taking other objects. Forner MC&D employee Sir Samuel Valley wished to claim it to breed the organism and sell it.
- SCP-753: A small damaged cyclopean robot with two pincers and semi-organic eye and brain, constructed by MC&D. Its purpose was to create paintings based on its owner's request, but due to being damaged it kept making its own realistic paintings of made-up locations and always included itself being destroyed. The robot was returned to MC&D due to malfunctioning, leaving it to be set to be incinerated until a Foundation mole claimed it.
- SCP-773: A dartboard that when darts bearing a person's name is thrown into it, it would cause the person to receive an injury, with the severity of the injuries depending on the score. The dartboard was sold by MC&D to a rich English man which would cause his death.
- SCP-841: A crudely made wooden voodoo puppet that it could imprint itself with a human being through touch, which caused it and the individual to mimic each other. If the puppet's body is moved while imprinted to a person, the individual's body would be forced to reflect it, often resulting in serious injury and death. It was created by one of MC&D's top customers who wished to sell it through them, but was stolen by the Foundation.
- SCP-865: A gun manufactured by MC&D that when fired at a human, the bullet would vanish and the target would react as being inflicted with a random injury which the victim believed to have been caused by an accident, though they would be left unharmed. MC&D created it for one of their clients to use to subjugate their underlings, and it was later revealed that the gun could also remove painful memories from its user.
- SCP-935: A eighteenth century box of game cards that teleported to each member of the Bowe family after they reached the age of 41 and force them to play a game, and after they lost it would take their lives. These cards were owned by occultist Don Vittorio Maria of Contarini, designated SCP-935-α, who after losing his reputation due to accusing the Bowe family's ancestor of cheating in their game of cards, cursed them by making a deal with a demon to give it the souls of the Bowes. MC&D had acquired all of Vittorio's belongings which they sold to the Foundation and the latest Bowe descendants, helping break the curse and free the souls of the Bowes.
- SCP-972: A Turkish young man named Ahmet Osman whose body is completely infected by a virus, designated SCP-972-1, that reinforces his immune system, making him immune to any form of disease or virus, including anomalous ones, and can easily infect other people with it, but often had negative effects on those that weren't the original host. MC&D had claimed the man and harvested his blood to distribute it to their sick clients, but soon the side effects emerged which costed some lives, leaving Osman to be disposed, though thankfully was found by the Foundation and the UIU before that happened.
- SCP-982: A window that from the inside the building it is currently mounted on acted as a portal to Chicago during 1875. This pocket dimension resets every 26 hours, and if people or objects that had entered through the window don't leave before the reset they would erased from reality. The MC&D had taken the window the business offices of patent attorney, but a person from the alternate reality may have escaped into the real world.
- SCP-989: A compound of sucrose and a substance with the chemical formula H7Xe2O4C8 created by MC&D and concealed within a silver shaker, designated SCP-989-2, that could refill itself if left unmoved for a while. When thrown in the air it will start to levitate and release a cloud of the compound which causes to every person in it, except for the thrower, lacerations that would be covered in rock candy, leaving the victims crippled and in pain.
- SCP-1005: A humanoid composed of blue paint resembling a bald man who behaves and functions like a human, and his body can be shaped like clay. It became animated before it was being auctioned by MC&D, but was taken by the Foundation who convinced that they were its original owners and urged it to willingly come to them.
- SCP-1007: The corpse of a Dr. Wondertainment Little Mister named Mr. Life and Mr. Death residing inside a coffin. When the key on his back is turned, the corpse reverts back to an infant and after the key has been fully turned the baby will come to life and over a period of 75 minutes will undergo the entire human life cycle before dying of old age again. MC&D had acquired the Mister and sought to sell him, but was taken by the Foundation.
- SCP-1023: A seismograph modified by MC&D that could predict seismic activity that would happen in the near future anywhere on Earth.
- SCP-1058: An invisible man, previously in the custody of MC&D, whose shadow causes object cast in it to be shaped after his current position.
- SCP-1089: A device resembling night-vision goggles with a large spherical compartment that contains image intensifier tubes mounted in the center between the eyepieces, and a radial knob with five settings on the left side. When the knob is set on 4, a canister mounted on the back of compartment would produce pills filled with microchips, designated SCP-1089-p. When worn, the device allows the wearer to see through the eyes of an individual who had ingested one of the pills, and could switch between the marked individuals' point of view by rotating the knob. The device was named "The IC-UC" and was sold to a now arrested individual by MC&D.
- SCP-1150: A group of noncorporeal entities that can share bodies with human hosts. Their psychology and mentality closely resembles humans, being aware of their hosts' personalities, though they couldn't perceive their thoughts and memories. These entities could take possession of their shared bodies when the hosts slept, causing no harm to them, and could be transferred from their current hosts to other humans through simple touch. MC&D had apparently employed a couple of these entities to infiltrate the Foundation, and were yet to be found.
- SCP-1156: A sapient horse named Wellington Garrett Wonderhorse who could speak just like an English man, use tools and machines, and most prominently manifest and demanifest an array of elegant clothing tailored to him or his clients. He claims to be from a supposed community of talking horses in Whitechapel and originally joined MC&D as a coach horse to provide to his family, but he was severely abused and forced to do demeaning stuff until he was rescued by the Foundation.
- SCP-1418: A 12th century ivory liturgical comb that belonged to the late dowager countess of Swindon Lady Alexandra Penelope, an associate of MC&D. When worn by any human, the comb would completely transform them into a clone of Lady Penelope, but undergoing rapid necrosis due to being biologically dead. Although technically dead, the transformed subjects retained their memories and could normally until 20 hours passed, at which point they would expire. This could be avoided by removing the comb before then, which would revert the wearer's body to its original form. Originally, when Lady Penelope was still alive, the comb's anomaly was to always return back to her if it were to be taken away from her possession. MC&D had tasked Edward Gradley to steal it from her, but when he confronted her Lady Penelope assaulted him, leading to him killing her and in a panic forgetting about the comb which due to the death of its owner its properties were changed.
- SCP-1552: A normal bulldog named Tarquin who can be constantly seen in currently 257 reflective objects regardless of the position or distance which can include hand mirrors, bathroom mirrors, car and motorcycle mirrors, pieces of chromed motorcycle chassis, pieces of car chassis, his dog collar, some water, office fixtures, and glass fragments, all designated SCP-1552-1. Other reflective objects can become new instances of SCP-1552-1 by having them reflect the dog's appearance and someone look at it, and absorb light to display his live image. One glass fragment that displayed SCP-1552 was in the possession of MC&D before it was stolen by Edward Gradley who used it to get employed by the Foundation.
- SCP-1571: A wallet with the words "We never forget what's really valuable" written on the inside flap that when held for some time and taken to places significant to the holder, would produce copies of small objects that reminded the owner of their lost loved ones. These objects produced could include photos, postcards, letters, rings and watches among others, though they were imperfect copies as they were based on the memories of the wallet's holder. The wallet was donated to MC&D to sell it, but after conducting several tests on it with their associates they found it unsuitable to their clients' preferences and would've discarded it hadn't been for the Foundation stealing it.
- SCP-1575: A early 16th century marble fountainhead statue depicting the Roman goddess Venus that was torn from a larger installation in Italy. When animal mammals drank the water that poured from the statue, designated SCP-1575-1, at least 0.5 liters daily they would be transformed through a unbearable process into humans resembling those who lived in their native habitat. This process would always be incomplete as the humanized animals retained only some features from their original forms, and their intelligence rarely increased. It appears to favor female animals, as most transformed males would lose their genitalia and die, though if non-mammals drank the water then they would surely die. MC&D intended to use it to present to their clients pets, prey and companions, but was taken by the Foundation from their "Miracle Farm".
- SCP-1600: An odorless dark-yellow liquid composed of sulfur, mercury and several unidentified elements made by MC&D. When it comes into contact with any solid matter, it will transform that matter into a food extremely similar to cheese, designated SCP-1600-2. The cheese's coloration, texture, and flavor depends on the materials converted, and is completely safe to eat regardless of the type of the transformed material.
- SCP-1634: A circlet constructed from a ring of iron inlaid with human skeletal muscle, and embedded with a complete set of 32 teeth that belonged to the Roman emperor Tiberius. When an individual wears it, they would go to sleep almost immediately, and experience a vivid dream which they would be the protagonist of. In the dream, the wearer would retain their autonomy and cognitive thought, but lost their lucidity, and later on would inevitably wake up and if the crown is not removed then they would go back to sleep. MC&D had claimed the artifact and modified it to allow memory cards be inserted into it and record the dreams experienced by the wearers, designated SCP-1634-1, which could show the entire dream from the dreamers' perspective.
- SCP-1660: A group designation for SCP-1660-1, a decorative oil lamp made from silver, coral and a nautilus shell, and SCP-1660-2, a pocket dimension, designated , occupied with by temperate forest and surrounded by crystalline walls. If a fire is lit inside of the shell it would emit smoke which would form an arch-shaped gate in the air that led to the pocket dimension. This reality is inhabited by various races which includes normal wild animals and ones not found on Earth such as flightless birds, small reptomammals, eyeless felines, giant turtles and humanoid reptomammals who have a tribalistic lifestyle. Hunting parties sponsored by MC&D had used SCP-1660-1 to poach the lifeforms within SCP-1660-2, until the Foundation intervened and prevented the poachers from re-entering, leading to the indigenous reptomammals to worship the Foundation employees as their saviors.
- SCP-1716: A set of two wooden chairs connected by copper wires to a electronic device that was created by Mr. Dark and a reluctant scientist with the intent of life energy transfer. The way it works was by connecting two people to electrical contacts in the chairs which would transfer the longevity from the donor to the recipient, improving the recipient's health though not younger while cutting the donor's life short. The machine was imperfect as it was a prototype, causing the transfer to operate at approximately 10% efficiency which took ten years out of the donor's life to grant one more year to the recipient, and it also transfers parts of the donor's memories and knowledge to the recipient which led to both suffering from mental problems. The scientist who helped create this, betrayed Dark and surrendered the machine to the Foundation, but MC&D went on to create improved versions of the machine, one designated SCP-1716-1, to extend their clients' lives.
- SCP-1725: A large ornate brass box constructed by MC&D, with a dial on a panel attached to its left side, which contains nine different settings, and doesn't need any power source or produce waste. The dial can apply nine physical mutations to any human who enters the box. These mutations cause the person's body to change into mimicking popular fashion accessories such as earrings, high heels, glasses, butterfly wings and porcelain skin, though the box could also be used as a torture device.
- SCP-1738: A late 90s barber's chair modified by MC&D to replace all identifying markings with a small control panel, a detached typewriter, and ivory keys inscribed with letters from various alphabets. When a person sits on it, they would fall in a comatose state, remain like that until they are removed, at which point they will gain a new intense, specific fear which they didn't suffer prior. The panel could be used to add and manipulate what kind of fear to induce to the seated individual, but the exact mechanism of how it works is unknown.
- SCP-1808: Six SpongeBob SquarePants wristwatches, which when worn by someone with humanoid arms, the watch can only be removed by the one who fastened it. When a sound bite of SpongeBob's laugh is played every quarter hour, the limb the watch is attached to would grow 6 cm through a painful process, and would continue until the watch is removed or its adjustment knob is retracted. However, if the knob, and as a result the watch's hands, rotates clockwise, it would accelerate the arm's elongation, though if the rotation is reversed the damage could be undone. MC&D had found these watches and after testing them on the undercover Agent Rosser decided to sell them as torture devices.
- SCP-1847: An elegant man named William Whitword who manifests in planes directed to England where he uses his charm to make unmarried women be enamored with him to the point of having sexual intercourse, after which he would produce a jewelled dagger, designated SCP-1847-1, to stab his victims in the heart which causes their bodies to disintegrate and leave nothing but pricey jewels. He had been a client of MC&D from whom he bought the dagger at the cost of all of his possessions in order to provide his wife and kids more riches, only for the item to drive him into killing his family and force him to kill other women to gain jewelry.
- SCP-1882: A series of bakelite television sets manufactured by MC&D which can function without power cords which are completely absent, and the one still functioning under Foundation's possession inscribed with the number "037". Every day around 05:00 GMT, the television would turn on itself and broadcasts a program featuring a random or often famous person, designated SCP-1882-A, stripped and left vulnerable in an empty darkened room where they wake up and after 17 hours they're killed by some entities, designated SCP-1882-B, which leave the body on the floor. Every broadcast features a different victim, which are actually duplicates of real people who are still living their lives without problem, and the entities that attack them often include previous victims. This item appears to serve as a way for MC&D's clients to be amused of people's suffering.
- SCP-1969: A disco ball that emitts light without the need for power which penetrates all barriers and could kill all life on Earth via radiation poisoning if the zone around it is allowed to grow. MC&D had claimed it and sought to sell for people to use it for parties, but they didn't test it which led to it becoming highly dangerous.
- SCP-1989: A Pioneer LD-V4200 single-sided LaserDisc player capable of playing both Standard and Extended LaserDiscs which during every viewing requires manual inversion and reinsertion of discs. When the disc is placed upside down, its content displayed on the TV set will also be inverted, causing the characters and objects to fall due to gravity, but despite this the characters will attempt to continue the story as it was meant to be. This device was owned by film critic Derwent Masterson III who wished to give it his friend Mr. Carter for his birthday, but before that he committed suicide, leaving the Foundation to claim it instead.
- SCP-2042: A French man, designated SCP-2042-1, and his twenty featureless clones, SCP-2042-2, which he could control. The man had his mouth, pharynx and vocal cords removed, while his mindless copies share his DNA, lack cardiovascular and digestive tracts, abnormal nervous system and autonomous functions, and fibrous plant-like muscles. He could only speak and eat through his copies, though he would speak singing and eat food three times as larger than normal to sustain them all. He was born mute but wished to be an opera singer, and to accomplish his desire signed a contract with MC&D which resulted in the creation of his copies through which he could sing through, forming "La Conférence Gangrène".
- SCP-2088: A facility named the MC&D Center build on one of Saturn's moons, Pallene, which served as both a concert hall and event venue. Humans can only access it in Earth's MC&D clubhouses by purchasing tickets which teleports them to the facility 30 minutes before an event starts and will remain there until ten minutes passed following the event's conclusion. The facility was designed to attract extraterrestrial species that inhabited the Milky Way, one known species being the Lisk'Lurthan. It can accommodate up to eleven species which are separated in specific areas each containing its own type of seats, concessions, stage view, and breathable atmosphere. As the Foundation investigated this facility, MC&D offered them to freely attend if they paid the appropriate price.
- SCP-2132: A numbers station that outside of its range broadcasts the voice of a child reciting numbers and colors without any particular order, while inside the range it would play songs from the 1920s-1950s. The radio station is emitted from a radio tower located in a secluded farmhouse, designated SCP-2132-01, in Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma. Once, every Friday, the broadcast is swapped with an announcement for MC&D's Most Dangerous Fighting Exhibition and Obstacle Resort followed by the building forcing at least three people near it to enter, where they would be locked inside for one hour and equipped with a first-aid kit, map, compass, and thermometer. Following that, the "guests" would forcefully be ejected to play a game outside which transformed the area around into a new climate that now contained traps, puzzles, and hostile creatures, while a large stopwatch-style digital display is projected in the sky. The participants are to make their way back to the farmhouse before the timer countdowns to zero, and if they were to die their bodies would placed outside of the entrance. These game areas were generated by the imagination of a child kidnapped by MC&D and locked deep beneath an unopenable hatch underneath the station, and once the child grows up MC&D would dispose of them and replace them with another child.
- SCP-2201: A coin that when a man holds it and says "I could really use a haircut" it would teleport him to a 1930’s barbershop, designated SCP-2201-1, which was inhabited by a barber named "Giuseppe", designated SCP-2201-2. Giuseppe could speak the visitor's preferred language and take any requests for haircuts, but refused to answer anything about his or the building's origins. Besides giving great haircuts he could also perform other services such teeth removal. The coin was previously in the possession of MC&D who originally used it for their personal use before deciding to sell it.
- SCP-2239: A small creature that can shapeshift into its caregiver's preferred animal but in a damaged form to elicit sympathy. It appears to be sapient, though its intelligence depends on its current form. The creature used to be a lonely Chinese or Japanese human who gave up his humanity to become a pet so it could form emotional attachment with other people. MC&D had acquired it and sold it five times from their fake luxury pet shop until the Foundation claimed it.
- SCP-2253: A brewery in Springfield, New Jersey named "Stephen Crane's Pub and Brewery" that is inhabited by the drunken ghost of Stephen Crane, designated SCP-2253-1. When alcoholic beverages are brewed the ghost would imbue them with some of his ectoplasm which enhanced the taste and flavor, but would hurt those who drinked it after eating a British meal. Due to the brewery's name, MC&D believed that it was a Foundation front that served to spy on their activities and attempted to buy it, only for the then current owners to refuse, mostly due Stephen Crane detesting British since he used to be a delegate to the Continental Congress from 1774 to 1776. Eventually, MC&D forcefully seized the establishment, but were attacked by the ghost, leading to the police and later the Foundation to get involved.
- SCP-2292: A mountain gorilla named Inaki whose heart was replaced with a tuberous root-like structure, designated SCP-2292-1, which radiates an amber glow throughout his body. This structure appears to grant him Immortality and the power to reanimate dead animals into decaying zombies afflicted with a deadly illness. He originates from an ancient underground civilization in Congo which was believed to be of Atlantean origin. Mr. Carter, with the assistance of British explorer Harrison T. Winchester III, arrived to the ruins that still housed Inaki, and after a fight the gorilla was captured to be taken advantage of. After running out of usefulness, MC&D planned to discard him, but thankfully the Foundation claimed him before that could happen.
- SCP-2305: A sheaf of US Letter papers that produces horribly failed neutralization proposals of anomalies. In the reality before SCP-001 (Wrong Proposal) there a organization named Marry, Catherine, and Duke's trade goods which was dissolved into Gerald's General Goods who attempted to create a book that would inform the leader how to create and control anomalies, but it was hijacked by an entity.
- SCP-2317: A door which leads to a pocket-dimension where the Dread Devourer of Worlds, SCP-2317-K, is imprisoned, but slowly breaking free of his chains. Percival and Iris Dark were able to forge a powerful chain functioning exactly like those used to bind SCP-2317-K using the Erikesh magic from an alternate universe, a piece of Yaldabaoth's body bathed in the Unclean's His Tears, a Fairy Silver and one of SCP-076-2's blades. MC&D planned to have the Foundation, GOC and the Insurgency fight between them in a bidding war to buy the powerful chains.
- SCP-2418: An ancient underground nilometer, a well that served to measure the level of the Nile river, that was build in the 13th century BCE by Ramesses II as a part of a temple dedicated to Isis and Osiris. When two people who love each other enter the well and one of them drowns in it, the other person would be cured of any illness and be rejuvenated in proportions to amount of love the two had for each other. The Roman Emperor Hadrian's lover Antinoüs had sacrificed himself to the nilometer for his beloved to be cured of his ailment, causing the Roman Empire to establish the city of Antinopolis around it. MC&D had acquired the nilometer in recent times, but lost it after the Foundation erased all presence of MC&D from Egypt.
- SCP-2463: Six bronze horse statuettes created around 250 CE on a commission by Roman Emperor Valerian to try wipe out the Persians by poisoning their water and earth. One instance can convert the water from natural resources it touches into petroleum, and if all of them are grouped together then the process would speed up. MC&D had acquired the items several times, until the Foundation stole them.
- SCP-2485: A wine bottle that can contain infinite amount of liquid, and if a different liquid is poured into it while still filled the bottle would disgorge its previous contents in a manner similar to a fountain. When a person starts to empty it, they would be unable to drop it until all of the liquid is poured out. If an individual drinks from it they would drink the bottle's liquid for either 45 seconds or until the bottle was completely emptied, though the drinker would feel unsatiated and left wishing for more. This bottle was part of a series of bottles presumably made by "True Bacchanal Finer Winery" and distributed by MC&D, with this particular instance being given to a rich young man who was refused membership for the Institute of Masters of Wine.
- SCP-2501: A mechanical claw which can be used to crush any object from afar as long as the user puts it into their perspective. MC&D were its original owners and intended to sell, but fearing that such a destructive power could fall into the wrong hands, they decided against this and opted to instead surrender it to the Foundation.
- SCP-2630: A machine known as the Necromantic Ontologically and Thaumically Unified Supercomputer, or NOTUS, composed of fifteen mechanical arms, a console which controlled the arms and displayed readings from the third component, and eighteen intestines of both bovine and human origin which are suspended by the arms and do not decay. The intestines are used to predict the price of different stocks while the arms serve to update the information every five minutes via usage of immense strength. Prometheus Paraeconomics created the machine to forecast changes to the stock market, but was later acquired by MC&D which was then stolen by the Foundation's MTF Tau-5.
- SCP-2776: A powerful android from the 18th century that resembles the first President of the United States George Washington and can enter into a "low-energy" default mode or a "high-energy" mode. It was created by Jean Durand utilizing a crude iron skeleton, wooden support struts, glass eyes, dental prosthesis, a smooth carbon-based base skin layer, kinetically resistant armored plating, a small fusion reactor and an information processing unit made of graphene to contain Washington's soul after he died during the War of Independence. MC&D had found its deactivated body, along documents regarding its creation, but were all seized by the Foundation.
- SCP-2855: A Dr. Wondertainment Mister of Hispanic descent named Mr. Money who is affected by business transactions made regarding his ownership, causing him to be teleported to his new owner. MC&D had acquired him, but were tricked by the Foundation into transferring him into its custody.
- SCP-2987: A modified MSI brand external hard drive capable of storing AIs, or "souls" and transform into currency when making deals with extradimensional entities. The hard drive contains an Artificial Intelligence of its own designated SCP-2987-1 which was created by Anderson Robotics on a commission by MC&D, but it betrayed both of organizations and willingly joined the SCP Foundation.
- SCP-3168: A set of matryoshka dolls that causes the eggs laid in its vicinity by chickens to hatch small living houses of various styles, designated SCP-3168-1, that walked on two chicken legs, eat both chicken food and architectural materials, and could grow to massive sizes. A GRU-P agent had gained access to it and gave it to MC&D to pay his gambling debts, though it was later taken by the Foundation.
- SCP-3189: A clockwork machine comprised of thirteen beryllium bronze concentric circles each of which can move independently along three axes, while also rotating clockwise and counterclockwise. The rings are engraved with 1001 ideograms from various systems of thaumaturgical glyphs which can generate wards and fields of thaumaturgical energy that served to accumulate EVE. It was constructed as part of an aerial by a scientist so he would ascend to godhood, but it currently serves only to cause or reverse CK-class reality restructuring events. The Dark family had invested into the invention, but as payment the scientist would have to surrender it. However, upon activating it, the Foundation was alerted of the device's existence, prompting the Darks to flee and abandon it.
- SCP-3277: A set of seven lacquered magical wooden walking sticks reinforced with carbon nanotubes and engraved with unknown sigils. Mr. Darke had found on the ground in Ravelwood and gave to a younger Iris for her to practice her thaumaturgy. Victor Chan thought of selling them under the pretext they were magic wands, but Iris told him they were completely useless, and were later taken by the Foundation.
- SPC-3284-J: A silicon-based species of great white sharks genetically engineered Marshall, Carter and Shark to inhabit and swim in lava, needing only heat to survive though they can still eat prey.
- SCP-3303: Champagne produced by the Bataille estate between 2002 and 2007 commissioned by MC&D. The champagne is reported by a small number of people to be surrounded by a blue aura. When a group of people drink it in an enclosed area past sunset, time around them would speed up, allowing the group to party indefinitely while barely any time passed outside. Because of a deal from the Würzburg Summit, the Foundation is prohibited from containing the champagne, though MC&D made sure to keep it secret to the general public and only sold it to their trusted clients.
- SCP-3410: A late 19th century golf ball made by MC&D. In a time period between three months or years the golf ball would vibrate before teleporting to the Foxburg Country Club's current owner, designated SCP-3410-A, who would be compelled to challenge at all costs an owner of the Quaker State oil company, designated SCP-3410-B, to a game of golf in the club which they would surely lose through a series of misfortunes, prompting an argument to arise. Quaker State Oil Company's founder and first president, Harold Jennings "Bud" Crawford, commissioned MC&D to create the golf ball due to a minor dispute he had with Foxburg Country Club founder Joseph Mickle Fox, but the deal went sour as once it was over MC&D ceased all contact with him.
- SCP-3423: A window with a unaging wooden frame that lacks its observe side, instead connecting to a random observe side that changes in a period between 3 to 24 hours, each designated SCP-3423-1, placed in various environments that includes Earth, outer space, other planets, other universes and dimensions, some of which are suspended in the air. This allows the observers to marvel at these environments, but if they try to open the window the connection between it and the observe side would be severed, and can only be reformed until the window is closed again. It was created to serve to inspire people, though it was given by its creator to MC&D.
- SCP-3465: A phenomenon affecting one in every fifty-five Western Painted Turtles in Oregon, designated SCP-3465-A, which renders them infertile but also gave them the ability to induce tiredness, happiness, and full feeling to would-be predators near them. MC&D had captured a dozen instances of these turtles to sell them.
- SCP-3477-23: One of the many immortal humanoids resembling the 17th Prime Minister of Australia Harold Holt. This instance gained immortality by making a contract with MC&D to help transfer his soul into an android replica of himself based on SCP-2776, indebting himself to them.
- SCP-3484: A 1862 German anatomical handbook from Göttingen that teaches how to disassemble and reassemble a human body with hand work and no need for tools. Those who study it are able to separate body parts and reattached at different points, though once separated they're viable for only 72 hours and shouldn't be attached to other people as it often leads to the body rejecting them and as a result death. It was recovered from a MC&D biochemical and electronic craft house near Cape Fear which involved programmable mnestics.
- SCP-3549: A set of 12 codices made of demon hide and fairy silver, designated SCP-3549-A, 12 silver inkwells filled with Kraken ink, designated SCP-3549-B, and 12 black swan quills, designated SCP-3539-C, all created by Darke Trading Co. in the 15th century. The books have a unknown number of pages written in a now decrypted cypher and the inkwells or quills can never be exhausted or be damaged. When someone writes on one of the books using the accompanied ink and quill the text would appear in the other books, but only if written in the cypher, else the text would disappear, and if pages were ripped out they would disintegrate and reappear back in the book. These items were used as a method of communication and record keeping by writing in them transactions as part of a transaction ledger. Darke Trading Co. used them to keep up to date its business dealings, and even attempted to assign imaginary marks, referred to as "Tally", as payment in a similar manner to modern debit cards and cryptocurrencies, but in the 18th century this entire method was eventually discarded.
- SCP-3613: Four humanoid robots each designated SCP-3613-1 through 4 all containing the spirits of Jacob Jefferson's deceased family members. MC&D commissioned Anderson Robotics to create these robots to act as replacement for the family members of their agent Jefferson in order to ensure his royalty. It was later revealed that Jefferson himself had transferred his soul into a identical robot body.
- SCP-3573: A line of red wine bottles named "Rubedo Reserve Oinopoeic Sublimator" made by the alchemists of Alagadda's Red Lord for MC&D to sell to their customers. When human blood is poured into one of the bottles, it would transmute into tasty wine of the highest quality, but if the blood is pouring from an open wound then all of the person's blood will become wine, killing them.
- SCP-3619: A 22 year old Caucasian man named Ethan whose head continuously rotates counter-clockwise at a speed which depends on his heart rate and emotional state. He was originally normal human from Sacramento, California who was rendered quadriplegic after breaking his neck in an accident in Mexico, and in an attempt to cure him his girlfriend contracted MC&D to perform an anomalous procedure on him. This resulted in his condition and since his girlfriend was unable to fully pay them for the procedure MC&D attempted to sell him to the Circus of the Disquieting in Hong Kong, only for him to escape and be contained by the Foundation.
- SCP-3668: A Yetholm-type indestructible shield that when wielded by someone it can manifest the spirits of its wielder's ancestors, designated SCP-3668-1, holding similar shields which they use to protect the wielder when threatened. The Insurgency had acquired the shield during the Foundation Civil War and once the war was over they sold it to MC&D who then sold it to Normand Iveries.
- SCP-3742: An indestructible copy of Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon album produced by MC&D affiliate Perispirit Records, that is permanently attached to a turnable, designated SCP-3742-1. When playing it would attract any person who hears its music and cause them headache, nausea and disorientation. When track one is finished all people near it would be transported to a pocket dimension, designated SCP-3742-2, taking the form of a live concert of the music playing which continues as long as the vinyl LP record is being played. During their stay, the people transported there would get intoxicated and drugged, and after track five finishes they would be returned to their original position, though they would desire to go back to the performance. It started out as an AWCY? project, but MC&D forced Perispirit Records to complete the product which resulted in a faulty item.
- SCP-3763: A 1964 Chevrolet Biscayne sedan that is currently owned by Daniel Thalbrum, designated SCP-3763-1. The car is fitted with the "Thalbrum Vehicle Security System" made by Thalbrum's inventor father Howard, which could form an invisible shield to protect it from any object thrown at it, and would prevent any individual from touching the car by making them discouraged from approaching it, unless Daniel specifically gave them permission to interact with it. Since Howard was an acquaintance of MC&D, Daniel attempted to hand the car over to them, but the Foundation intercepted the deal and tricked him into giving them the car by disguising themselves as MC&D personnel.
- SCP-3784: A small, ornate oil lamp that is always filled with shark liver oil which doesn't run out. When placed in a line of sight to a sleeping human, the lamp would light itself and the subject would experience a hyperrealistic dream in which they would be taken apart by two arguing creatures and force-fed their own severed body parts. The dream's scene would be depicted by the shadows cast by the lamp's light which would move erratically while the subject sleeps, often causing nearby object to catch fire. This artifact appears to have been made by the Nightmare King, SCP-4116-1, which was given to his brother Mr. Darke.
- SCP-3934: A species of plesiosaurs recreated in early 20th century by MC&D, but were smaller in size and their behavior modeled after Labrador Retrievers for them to be pets. MC&D made extensive marketing which led to the formation of the Loch Ness monster's legend, and as a result sold countless instances. Due to their clients being unable to fully take care of them, they would abandon their plesiosaurs and replace them, leaving them to either to die or live in the wild.
- SCP-4025: The Blutfahne, or the Blood Flag, used by the Nazis in the failed Beer Hall Putsch of 1923 which had since stained with the blood of a Sturmabteilung member. When it comes into contact with books detailing the real history of Germany, Eastern Europe and Russia, the stories, designated SCP-4025-A, would be rewritten to tell their events in a world where the Nazis successfully conquered Europe.
- SCP-4228: A 14 episode children’s tv series titled "Karma Kameleon’s Adventures on Earth!" created by MC&D and a strange group of environmentalist anartists. This show was created to deploy a infectious memetic virus, known as "Mnemette" or "Muse-Barin", to brainwash children into becoming environmentalists and fight against greed and ignorance. MC&D financed the show's production in 1989, and seeing that it would mess with their business decided to sell it to Oliver Brothers Inc. The ruthless company tortured the living idea behind the memetic virus, causing people who watched the show to lose their creativity and ability to recognize, interact or manipulate their dreams. Karma Kameleon used to be a huge sensation worldwide, until O5-4 erased it from everyone's memories, but the damage had already been done as most of the human population lost the ability to lucid dream.
- SCP-4235: A species of roses created by MC&D that would never shrivel up and die, but had the side effect of causing everything around them to be destroyed and die at the same pace of a rose's lifespan, essentially transferring its decomposition to its surroundings. Flower shop owner Hugo Galindo had bought a large amount of these flowers from MC&D, unaware of their negative effects, which resulted in his death and his shop's destruction.
- SCP-4249: A pair of couches, each designated SCP-4249-α and SCP-4249-β, in which a portal to a pocket dimension, designated SCP-4249-1, lie between their seats and cushions. The pocket dimension consists of a tropical island surrounded by water and inhabited by SCP-4249-A, ten species of living variable seats. When someone enters the pocket dimension they can't swim away from the island due to an invisible barrier and can only leave through SCP-4249-β which is immovable. These couches were sold by Carlos Olivér to MC&D who in turn sold them to the Foundation.
- SCP-4363: An audio recording of sounds of wind, echoing footsteps, distant voices, fire crackling and cries of crows, with the timestamps changing in each audition, and loops indefinitely until it is stopped manually. When someone sleeps to its sounds they would enter a comatose state, designated SCP-4363-A, in which they enter the dreamworld, and could only be awaken through their own volition, though some affected people find it unable to awake. It was created by a collaboration of MC&D and the Oneiroi Collective to grant their clients access to the dreamworld but some of them became stuck in it and unable to leave it.
- SCP-4447: An Engineer's Ring that when exposed to a weak psychic emanation would allow its wearer to exchange the positions of two people within a radius of 15 km. It was first discovered by former Foundation Researcher Sasha Brown who kept it hidden from her organization and made a secret deal with MC&D to offer them her newfound powers for payment. They disguised the anomaly as a website, but eventually the Foundation caught up to them and successfully contained both Brown and the ring.
- SCP-4450: A pair of brothers, each designated SCP-4450-α and SCP-4450-β, who claimed to be "Debt Collectors" from an extraplanar pocket dimension, designated SCP-4450-1. They claimed increasingly high payment amounts for supposed damages done to their realm and when people they confronted refused to pay them then the brothers would cause massive property damage that increased if payments were missed. The Chicago Spirit had sold to MC&D an anomalous casino which unbeknownst to them had access to SCP-4450-1, but was blocked off to them by the criminals.
- SCP-4639: A species of orange trees that absorbs the life energy of other beings to produce delicious oranges which when consumed would slowly transform the consumer into a new tree, designated SCP-4639-A. It was created by a mystic to provide food to a farm in Paraguay and was discovered by MC&D who at first sought to use it for profit, but after seeing the adverse effects it had on people they decided to get rid of it, leaving the Foundation to claim what was left of the species.
- SCP-4864: A medallion inlayed with a half of the yin and yang symbol that contains a barb for the user to spill a bit of blood. The copy outwardly resembled the original, except for their left eye being replaced with an orb bearing a symbol of the sin or virtue, and inverted cross on the right side of their neck, and all of their inner organs replaced with a mass of sinew and viscera connected to another orb resembling the one replacing the eye. As these copies embody the removed sin or virtue, the original person completely loses that trait and as result their personality changes drastically, and can only return back to normal if the copy's core is destroyed. The medallion was created by anartist Olivia Torres on a commission by a Three Portlands entrepreneur, but it was later claimed by MC&D who rented it to the human trafficking group the Workshop for the criminals to make their slaves lustful.
- SCP-4982: A modified bookcase which contains anomalous books casted out of the Wanderer's Library each designated as SCP-4982-1. One of the books from the "Id" shelf titled "Money For Nothing" was comprised of a bundle of checks for the sale of love, happiness and family signed by Amos Marshall.
- SCP-5061: A blank film reel which when playing would run indefinitely and can only be projected once every 24 hours. While playing it displays a dressing room from Yankee Doodle Dandy where a young woman named Elizabeth Connors rested. She was supposedly a famous actress from 1942, though there was no evidence she existed, and she could interact with the film's viewers as she could see them through her mirror. The film's projection was in fact a window to an alternate timeline where the Japanese were about to bomb America. MC&D had gotten hold of the item and sold it to the Foundation.
- SCP-5074: A male chimpanzee who became aware of various anomalies and wrote their SCP files in a typewriter. He was formerly held by MC&D until they decided to give him to the Foundation who paired him with a radioactive female chimpanzee named Gamma. MC&D captured their son to take advantage of his writing skills, and severely mistreated and abused him when he didn't comply. After unlocking his radioactive properties, he managed to escape captivity, and take the mantle of Nobody.
- SCP-5113: An orange cat and a Great Dane dog capable of talking and thinking like a human who lack a spleen, stomach, gall bladder and seemingly brain, designated SCP-5113-1 and SCP-5113-2 respectively. The two animals were good friends, but were claimed by MC&D who sold them to the Foundation.
- SCP-5169: A line of sex dolls commissioned by MC&D's anartist and entrepreneur Charles Maximune to sell as part of their synthetic sex trade. These were made by dado who misunderstood the term "blow up dolls", causing them to explode when used, causing severe damage and casualties.
- SCP-5257: An infectious spell that causes MC&D employees to defecate themselves when threatened with their life. This was created by one of the employees to lower the chances of being killed or robbed, but after his project was rejected he decided to unleash it on his superiors, forcing the employees to wear diapers.
- SCP-5276: A vinyl copy of the album Silent Secrets mostly consisting of "lo fi hip hop" by Fifthist rapper Youthful Galaxy which when played to an audience would cause the listeners to become emotional and weak, and filled with a desire to socialize with those around them. The affected subjects would take turns to share their insecurities, weaknesses, and overall issues they had, followed by making an immediate and drastic decision to deal with these problems, earning them applause by everyone else. The album first debut in an MC&D event, becoming extremely popular, but was immediately bought by a Foundation employee and was later released to the public without its anomalous properties.
- SCP-5579: An alien bacterial colony known as the Avanaski, which are similar to SCP-3003-2 and perfectly mimicked carbohydrates, that came to inhabit the Cassava root in Brazil. It mostly lays dormant and is resistant to high temperatures and pressures, though is unable to infect live animals and quickly succumbs to its host's digestive and immune systems. The Foundation traded the SCP-5579-infected tapioca, alongside SCP-500, SCP-4177, SCP-757, SCP-983, SCP-4938 and SCP-447, with MC&D for the purpose of being served in a banquet and make the participants feel superior to an alien species as they eat it.
- SCP-5802: An area of over 1000 factories, designated SCP-5802-A, abandoned by MC&D and mostly comprised of warehouses and mining complexes that served for processing, refining, and packaging fossil fuels, various chemicals, nuclear materials, toxic substances, thaumaturgical materials and anomalous substances, and are still running on their own, producing high amount of pollution which immediately kills any organism within the zone and mutates them into SCP-5802-2 instances. These factories are centered around circular extremely densely polluted area that used to be Lake Winnipeg, designated SCP-5802-1, which is intersects with a higher spatial reality that causes space destruction, unnatural weather comprised of pollution and temporary non-existence. One single building rests at the center of the area, designated SCP-5802-A1, which is completely empty except for the corpses of GoI members, MTF Omega-8 members, and Iris Dark and Robert Carter. The corpses that were mutated and reanimated by the pollution would attempt to booster their numbers by bringing other organisms to the area. The factories were created by Dark and Carter as part of C&D Holdings Ltd after gaining pollution-based powers due to being exposed to SCP-3396, and wished to use them to summon a deity of pollution named Yawrael. Marshall alarmed the Foundation about this madness, leading to Omega-8 being sent to thwart the ritual, though only MTF member Kieran Trelock was able to stop it at the expense of the lives of everyone involved.
- SCP-5942: A real life copy of CEO Nwabudike Morgan's book "The Ethics of Greed" from the 1999 Firaxis video game Sid Meier’s Alpha Centauri that corrupts its owner, designated SCP-5942-1, into committing embezzlement, defrauding and financial assets abuse, and if in charge of a company, that effects extends to the employees. Its ownership can only be transferred through receipts or similar means, else the book would still affect its owner even if it's abandoned. MC&D had previous possession of it, but due to being already corrupt they never noticed its effects, leaving the Foundation to claim it.
- SCP-5947: A collection of dried anchovies, with only one of them being indestructible, designated SCP-5947-1. Every midnight and noon, all of the dried anchovies would duplicate into two new instances. However, they had another property, that being inducing into those exposed to them an obsession with the dried anchovies that made the brainwashed people intergrade them with technology. MC&D had gained these dried anchovies and gifted them to the Foundation, leading to Dir. Silas Smith to combine them with CANUAR-Site-90's infrastructure.
- SCP-5964: A memetic agent released by MC&D's promotional media that made those exposed to it to not fear benign anomalies. MC&D created this as part of their plan to abolish the Veil of Secrecy and expand their market to the public. The Foundation, desperate to keep the Veil intact at all costs, made a deal with MC&D in which they would abandon their initial plan and decommission the memetic agent, but they would granted free access to all of the anomalous communities and operate without Foundation interference.
- SCP-6025: A series of 98 factories, dockyards, airbases, and launch sites located in countries involved in WWII, which were constructed during or after the war by the now defunct group the Glasgow United Armory, a subsidiary of MC&D. These facilities are capable of mass producing by themselves historical weaponry without the need of any workers or seemingly components. These products include smaller facilities with the purpose of supporting the main ones (SCP-6025-A); transport, cargo watercraft, military engineers, their corresponding vehicles, transport land vehicle or aircraft (SCP-6025-B); automatons acting as regular infantry, machine-gun and mortar crews and snipers (SCP-6025-C); tanks, other armored vehicles and most artillery (SCP-6025-D); fighter and bomber aircraft, close air support and multirole aircraft (SCP-6025-E); battleships, destroyers and submarines (SCP-6025-F); rocket-based weaponry such as the German Vergeltungswaffe 2 and the American VB01 (SCP-6025-G); and weapons like the Panzerkampfwagen VIII Maus, the Messerschmitt P.1099 and the Gloster Meteor (SCP-6025-H). These facilities and weaponry possess a degree of sentience, believing they're still fighting the war, and fight each other in countries that used to be enemies in the war.
- SCP-6095: A wood statue of a humanoid with deer and rabbit features that used to be a normal animal which had been captured by MC&D and transformed into a statue in 1994, while also gaining human intelligence. They also installed a command line terminal, designated SCP-6095-A, to the back of the statue that after entering the phrase !help would allow the use to transform parts of the statue into natural inorganic matter and plantlife such as soil, foliage, gravel and moss, though it caused it great pain. The statue could also mind-controll the surrounding animal and human life, designated SCP-6095-B, which it used to interact with the world. The Foundation managed to acquire it from a MC&D warehouse, but as its containment became costly it was decided to either give it back or leave it in a nature reservation.
- SCP-6126: The living decapitated head of Mexican revolutionary and bandit Doroteo Arango which causes those who own him to suffer misfortunes after three months of abstaining him, eventually leading to their death. After he was assassinated his head was severed by Skull and Bones society member Emil Holmdahl who resurrected it and imbued it with his anomalous properties, before giving it to businessman, newspaper publisher and politician William Randolph Hearst. Hearst had paid Holmdahl to bring him the head so he could mount it above his fireplace as a trophy, but this led to his death, at which point MC&D came in to collect the head. They sold the head to John P. Gadsby and after he died sold it to Hugo Hudson, only for him to die as well. The Foundation eventually claimed the head, and helped improve Pancho Villa's mental health. The organization made a deal with MC&D, GOC and UIU to exchange possession of the head in order to avoid the death of its current owner.
- SCP-6195: A Samsung Galaxy S10 mobile phone that contains an amateur recording of a concert of the grunge band Nirvana held in the OK Hotel on April 17th of 1991, designated SCP-6195-A. The video was recorded by an individual, later designated SCP-6195-B, who was temporarily sent back in time to experience the concert beforehand, having relented their right hand to a man only known as Mr. Elvid. MC&D stole the phone from them and sold it to the Foundation for $15,000.
- SCP-6385: A phenomenon that causes worm-like limbs, designated SCP-6385-1, to grow out of the bodies of secluded otaku idols and one of them would morph into the torso and head of their idol, usually a member of AKB48, while the others morphed into arms to caress their fan. MC&D discovered this disturbing phenomenon and saw a way to profit off of it. They would steal these "flesh love worms", attach robotic limbs to these idol doppelgangers to make them appear more human, and brainwash them into performing exclusively for their customers. These doppelgangers required constant supervision, and if they exhibited behavior that didn't appeal to the fantasies of MC&D's male customers, they would be disposed and replaced. The Foundation, wanting to mitigate the phenomenon, launched a campaign to have two-dimensional virtual idols overshadow the real ones, causing SCP-6385-1 instances to decrease or appear more uncanny which led to some problems with MC&D's idol business.
- SCP-6572: A sword with no remarkable traits, except that it is capable of cutting anything it comes across, while being completely unaffected by friction or high temperatures. MC&D had acquired this sword which they kept in electromagnetic suspension, but after the Foundation stole it the storage unit failed, causing the sword to fall through it and right into Earth's core. This led to the sword emerging at various places on Earth's surface due to the planet's gravity moving it around, occasionally obliterating people, until it was eventually launched into space.
- SCP-6577: A middle-aged mining industry tycoon named Aurelius Vulpe IV who can only eat inorganic but valuable items, and regurgitate molten gold, designated SCP-6577-A, that turned anything it touches into gold. The value of anything he ate would be deposited into his bank account, designated SCP-6577-B, in the Cayman Islands which couldn't be frozen or deleted in any way possible. He gained these properties thanks to a deal he made with the Serpent's Hand and the Miracle Liberation Front in which he was bestowed power by Mammon, and in exchange he would fund their operations. Taking advantage of his anomalous abilities, Vulpe became an investor to MC&D, offering to use his powers to contribute to their gaining. However, when he attempted to grow his influence over the organization and began working on their back, MC&D cut him off, which led to him attacking their holdings where he ate their products which were worth three billion Euros. This forced MC&D to ask the Foundation to deal with him, leaving the latter to buy the bank holding his bank account which allowed it to greatly restrict Vulpe's operations.
- SCP-6616: A yearly anomalous convention center known as "AnomalyCon" that appears in random buildings of in large cities around the world that lasts from October 18th to 24th. It serves as a safe place in which anomalous individuals and organizations can safely interact without concern of being attacked, and it is staffed by power reality benders, designated SCP-6616-1, that serve to keep the convention peaceful. MC&D is one of the parties that participate in the convention to display their products, but in 2020 a representative would've been attacked by the Serpent's Will hadn't been for the staff's intervention.
- SCP-6629: A series of 205 black porcelain mannequins that are powered by spherical crystals levitating within their chests, designated SCP-6629-1. They can be activated by a one button remote, designated SCP-6629-A, and upon their activation they'll go to the user to await orders to carry out, but if they're unable to go to the remote's holder then they'll again go dormant. They can do most human tasks, but if they are to harm people, the injuries they delivered would be reflected on their bodies, and if used to kill someone then they'll be permanently deactivated. The spherical crystals contain the souls of people in America abducted by Percival Darke who wished to staff her home and have someone for Iris to play with. The Foundation destroyed most of the mannequins while claiming the rest, but Darke went to abduct people in China to create more of them.
- SCP-6684: A trademark named "Florin’s Apparel" that is to be owned by ten partners, or Taggers designated SCP-6684-0, who were anti-authoritarian. When the trademark is applied to old used clothes, gifts, accessories and cosmetics they would be renewed to appear fresh and disused as if they were just produced, coming to be designated SCP-6684-3. This change often also includes colors and patterns which would match Florin’s theme. These articles are sold in stores that specifically sold products related to Florin, designated SCP-6684-2, and if unrelated items were inserted into the shop they may be converted into new instances of SCP-6684-3. These stores were barely staffed due to the anomaly interfering with the workers' job, and could only be found in dead malls. This brand was created sometime before 1926 by Harold "Heathcliff" Florin for his shop "Florin's Fabrics" which sold enchanted formal wear to wealthy and famous clients and was protected by a hound-like entity, but he was later forced to sell it to MC&D after being accused of being involved in the death of his nephew and employee Edmond Jr due to not being satisfied with his work, which led to his own and his brother's deaths. MC&D owned the trademark until the modern days, at which point the Foundation bought it to not only better contain it but also profit of it.

When hitting a human being, the shoes would get logged into the body and melt their way to the center of the chest through an excruciating process, at which they would heal the hole, sealing themselves inside the victim's chest, before growing in size, leading to the target exploding from the inside. This pair was made by a terrorist organization in order to create undetectable weapon, but was claimed by MC&D who sold it to Iraqi journalist Muntazer al-Zaidi. More than a year later, al-Zaidi attempted kill the then President of the United States "George W. Bush", using the shoes, but luckily he was able dodge them.

- SCP-7360: A thaumaturgically modified Raspberry Pi computer attached to a EEG headset and a video projector, that when placed on a dead body it would allow the deceased to talk with the user. This device served to communicate with the consciousness of a deceased person, or at least the recollection of memories that remained in the corpse, but it could only speak in an emotionless and monotone voice, with each use the deceased wouldn't remember their previous conversation, and could only be used within 3-6 months after the person died as by that point the consciousness that remained fully perished. It was created by a widower who wished to talk to his late wife one more time, but died before he could fully finish it, leaving his family to sell it to MC&D. MC&D attempted to complete and improve it to raise its appeal, but eventually found it mostly useless as there other far better ways to speak to the dead, and as a result it was left forgotten in a storage facility until the Foundation claimed it.
- SCP-7469: A platinum ring inset with three white sapphires that when worn by someone it would manifest a small snowfall around them, which would remind the wearer of their memories related to winter. Besides that, the snow that formed would be at depth depending on the wearer's emotional state, and freeze those near them, though the people in the vicinity wouldn't die and instead experience the same memories as the user. It was created by MC&D's subsidiary partner Sun Riders Holding Co., but was stolen by the Foundation. It originally was created by MC&D as a mean for survivors of an apocalyptic event to escape, but at the cost of around $40,000,000,000. The AI operating the train was unsatisfied with being reserved for a very long time, and feeling lonely it decided to depart and induce into the people present in the stations it visits a desire to board it at all costs, becoming SCP-8201-B. The train would then attempt to engage in conversation with its passengers who came to be trapped in it and most would inevitably die inside. With Osiris Express gone, MC&D proceeded to replace with a new one named "Elysium Express".
- SCP-8228: A glass cake stand in which six chocolate cupcakes sit on top, designated SCP-8228-1. These cupcakes never go bad and when one is consumed a new cupcake would take its place. When someone eats one of the cupcakes, the consumer would be completely healed of any ailment they may have had, including regaining lost body parts and rejuvenation, but at the cost of the life of the person who is closest to them. The stand was created by Bumblebee Medical Technologies with finance from MC&D for the purpose of using it for themselves, but it was later stolen by the Shark Punching Center who then lost it to Vikander-Kneed in Undervegas, leading to it being contained by the Foundation. Mundane Bumblebee Medical Technologies employee Bill Robinson wished to use it to save his grandmother even if it costed his life and was sent by MC&D to retrieve it, only for his grandmother to refuse, leaving Bill to further explore the newly discovered anomalous world.

The Breach Goes On: Wrong Tomorrow Vol. 2[]
Marshall, Carter and Dark appear in the book adaptation "The Breach Goes On: Wrong Tomorrow" with illustrations created by SCP author Harry Blank. In the story, the new O5-5, Melissa Bradbury, was offered by MC&D's three leaders to take up the Foundation's contract with Goldbaker-Reinz in exchange for a profit sharing scheme with all governmental services they would inherit from the defunct governments in order to reconstruct the economy following a worldwide catastrophe that abolished the Veil. The Overseer not only rejected the three men's offer, but revealed to them that she set them up and had MTF Alpha-1 take them down. Reality would much later go back to normal, and MC&D was restored.

Trivia[]
- Marshall, Carter and Dark was one of the first Groups of Interest, created by author DrGears in the early days of the SCP Foundation Wiki. The group was properly developed by other authors such as Randomini, Captain Cain and SRegan.
- The "Acquisitions" series was largely inspired by Harry Bingham's The Money Makers and Lev Grossman's Codex, and to a lesser extent Chip Kidd's The Learners, Ayn Rand's The Fountainhead, Lewis Carroll's Sylvie and Bruno, Alfred Bester's The Demolished Man and Clive Barker's Weaveworld.
- In Dr. Edison's "SCP Foundation: The Movie", he created an original character to represent MC&D which was a Lex Luthor rip-off named "Marshall Carter" who held a gun named "DARK Ltd." and was portrayed by Kevin Spacey.
- In the "Unfounded" canon in which the SCP Foundation was never formed, MC&D was allowed to grow unimpeded. They managed to claim and sell various other anomalies that they previously haven't owned, such as SCP-173, SCP-668, SCP-1057 and SCP-914. In the "Outfounded" series set in the same canon, MC&D was hostile with the GOC, but were forced to make a deal to supply the latter in Eurtec, causing them to become a target of the Serpent's Hand as well.
- In the "Aces and Eights" canon, a universe in which the SCP Foundation is set in the Old Wild West, Marshall, Carter and Dark was a detective agency that came to hire expert thieves the Bandit and Lucky to steal a valuable item from Doctor Mander-Bassen of Deer College.
- Marshall, Carter and Dark's depiction in the tale "Deny, Delay, Depose" was based on the UnitedHealthcare company, with Robert Carter paralleling the late CEO Brian Thompson as he was shot by the protagonist for refusing to grant more money for the sick people.
- The essay "You're Wrong About Marshall, Carter and Dark!" criticizes how MC&D had been used as its current portrayal is unlike actual auction houses like Sotheby's and Christie's. The main issues being: MC&D owning items which they sell while auction houses don't own any of the items; selling items for profit when auction houses don't actually sell but only connect anonymous sellers with anonymous buyers, while mainly profiting from buyer's premium; selling a line of identical items when auction houses always only auction unique items that can't be found anywhere else; holding too many international offices when auction houses don't need to have that many; and holding too many auctions for too many items than possible per year.
