Marshall Thurwell is an antagonist in Red Dead Redemption 2, serving as the main antagonist of the mission "A Really Big Bastard".
He is voiced by Andrew Sellon.
Biography[]
Thurwell is an accountant from Rhodes who is accused of defrauding and embezzling money from his employer. He is wanted in the State of Lemoyne for theft, embezzlement and avoiding arrest.
Sadie Adler and John Marston go to hunt down Thurwell, who is hiding in the Tall Trees region of West Elizabeth. Making their way to his hideout at Bearclaw Camp, they find the camp in ruins and a mangled corpse outside the cabin. The corpse is not Thurwell, who is cowering inside the cabin asking if "the monster" is gone. At John and Sadie's command Thurwell comes out to be arrested, only for the monster, a heavily scarred grizzly bear, to emerge and pounce on John. Sadie manages to scare the bear off with gunfire before forcing Thurwell back out of the cabin and knocking him out. He is then tied up and loaded onto a horse by John.
On the way back to Blackwater John and Sadie are confronted by two rival bounty hunters who attempt to take Thurwell for themselves, however John manages to kill them both. Thurwell is then handed over to the police and jailed in Blackwater to await extradition to Lemoyne.
