He was portrayed by the late Cameron Mitchell.
Biography[]
Massimo Morlacchi is a fashion salon owner with his secret wife, Contessa Cristina Cuomo, whom he secretly married after killing her first husband and disguising it as a suicide so they could be together and inherit his vast wealth. They found they were in hot water when model Isabella wrote in her diary incriminating details of their crimes. To save the couple, Morlacchi disguised himself in a trenchcoat, fedora, and stocking mask to slash Isabella to death on her way home from the salon. Though the book was never found in her possession.
Model Nicole found the book and was ready to give it to the police. This cause Morlacchi to slash her to death as well, but she didn't have the book either since model Peggy Peyton stole it. This would lead Peggy to be Morlacchi's next target, when he barges into her apartment and writes in his notebook his demands for the diary. Peyton infuriates Morlacchi be revealing she threw it in a lit fireplace from the details of her abortion, and when Ispettore Silvestri arrives at her apartment, Peyton's knocked out and taken to another location where Morlacchi continues to interrogate her while tied to a chair. She breaks free and rips off his mask, recognizing her, which he retorts with killing her by burning her face on a furnace.
Assuming the killer is hypersexual, Silvestri arrests multiple men, including Morlacchi, to interrogate them, while they all fingers at each other. But Countess Cuomo comes to her spouse's rescue by leaving a dead Peyton in the trunk of model Greta's car, before smothering Greta to death with a pillow, all in the same killer costume. This leads to all me being released, but the couple meet up later and reveal themselves as the killers along with their motives. Contemplating how they can fool Silvestri, Cuomo slashes the wrists of model Tao-Li and leaves the costume at the scene to frame her. But when Cuomo tries to escape, the drainpipe she climbs down on breaks and she hits her head critically. She stumbles back to Morlacchi and sees he's stealing her jewels, revealing he always wanted her fortune to herself and sabotaged the pipe. In a rage, Cuomo shoots Morlacchi before she calls Silvestri over the phone and then succumbs to her head wound and dies as well.
