The new Master Mold, is a major antagonist of X-Men '97. He was created by Bastion in order to start his plans to create human sentinels, freeing him in the mutant nation of Genosha.

He was voiced by Eric Bauza, who also voiced Ezekiel Stane in Iron Man: Rise of Technovore.

Biography[]

This Master Mold appeared for the first time in a vision that Madelyne Pryor had while looking at Henry Peter Grych's mind, where she got to see fragments of the future and the genocide that the Master Mold was going to do in Genosha, where he was seen mocking the mutants in the middle of the massacre.

Time later, Master Mold II is unleashed in Genosha by Bastion, where he started killing hundreds of the mutants living there, while unleashing dozens of Sentinels to continue massacring everyone on there. Noticing Magneto, Master Mold decided to attack him as he was a very powerful mutant, getting into a big battle against the former villain, with Master Mold supposedly killing him with one of his laser beams.

When Gambit attempted to attack Master Mold by surprise, he gets the hero impaled by a metallic tentacle, bringing him to his robotic face to analyze if he was truly dead, this left Gambit the opportunity to charge the entire robot with kinetic energy and make him blow up, destroying Master Mold II once and for all, sacrificing himself in the process.
