Sandy: You mean this whole thing was a scam to get us to buy real estate?! Udon: Yes! If there was a real karate island, I'd be a millionaire.

~ Master Udon revealing his true motives.
Master Udon is the main antagonist of the SpongeBob SquarePants episode "Karate Island". He is the owner of Condo Island, and though he appears to be a sensei and karate teacher, he is actually a con artist who would scam people just so he could make them buy real estate.
In his debut episode, he was voiced by the late Pat Morita in his final role while Tom Kenny provided his vocal effects. In "Ma and Pa's Big Hurrah", he is voiced by Rodger Bumpass.
In "Karate Island", Udon is the fish that calls SpongeBob to come to the mysterious Karate Island. He is actually a con man because he captures SpongeBob and tries to make him buy real estate. He has quite a few minions and orders them to stop Sandy Cheeks from getting to him (The Tickler, Lipp Cervas, and Filthy Phil).
It is revealed that at the end of the episode that he has extremely large muscles when he fights Sandy. Though quite muscular, he seems to have a low fighting capacity, as when he fights, he uses sloppy punches and forward slaps, though he actually is able to go toe to toe with Sandy.
He is defeated by her and falls out of the condo window, landing in the water. He is shown to have survived at the very end of the episode after SpongeBob and Sandy leave, greeting Squidward to declare him as "King of Clarinets".
He is the owner of "Condo Island", which has been called "Karate Island" and "Clarinet Island" to trick SpongeBob and Sandy (via Karate Island) and Squidward (via Clarinet Island) into going there.
In "Ma and Pa's Big Hurrah", he is a wrestler that fights Patrick.

Trivia[]
Near the end of the episode, Sandy says "You're in the soup now, Udon!". This is a reference to how Udon is named after a type of Japanese noodle soup.
There were once rumors that, in the original premiere of Karate Island, there was a small amount of blood on his face after Sandy kicks him. However, these rumors were later debunked on Twitter by storyboard writer Vincent Waller in 2018.
