The Master of Ceremonies is the main antagonist of "The Screaming of the Tyrannosaur", the seventh episode of Vol. IV of the anthology science-fiction series Love, Death and Robots.

He is the host of a ritual ceremony during a royal wedding in the far-distant future, which forces individuals of a lower class to engage in brutal races and battles.

He is voiced by Jimmy "MrBeast" Donaldson.

Physical appearance

The MC is a tall, tanned man with short brown hair. He is dressed in a long tunic and wears elaborate makeup.

Personality

The MC has a thrill-seeking, charismatic and entertaining persona due to the nature of his job. He shows no remorse over the numerous deaths of those who engage in his activities, and shows a desire to appease the aristocracy which he forms a part of.

Biography

Background

At some point in the far-distant future, humanity relocated to Saturn's lunar system. Society became highly segregated by class, whereby the wealthy exploit the lower class for their sadistic entertainment. Somehow, humanity was able to reanimate dinosaurs.

Love, Death and Robots

As tradition, the Master of Ceremonies welcomes guests of a royal wedding to their evening entertainment, which showcases numerous poor individuals compete in a deathly race through the sands. The competitors utilise grappling hooks to mount triceratopses, and must battle one another to be the last surviving individual.

One competitor, Mei, is successful, after winning the race. The Master of Ceremonies does not congratulate Mei, but instead announces a surprise second battle is to commence against a tyrannosaurus rex. The t-rex emerges from the sands, and devours Mei's lover. Mei is able to slay the beast, but realises that both she and it are both being exploited for the entertainment of the upper class. Realising this, Mei mounts the dinosaur and uses it to eat the wedded couple to the shock of everyone, before the pair succumb to their injuries.
