Jason Wyngarde most commonly known as Mastermind is a minor antagonist in the videogame Lego Marvel Superheroes appearing as the boss of the level Taking Liberties. He is a member of the Brotherhood of Mutants and one of Magneto's most powerful allies.
He was voiced by Travis Willingham
History[]
Mastermind appears in the level Taking Liberties, where he faces off against Wolverine, Mister Fantastic and Hulk at the top of the Statue of Liberty, (Statue that was being controlled by Magneto).
He tries to control the mind of each hero, making them think that their allies are actually enemies, (Sabretooth in Wolverine's case, Skrulls with Mister Fantastic and General Ross when controlling the Hulk), but each individual successfully breaks out of Mastermind's mind control. Mastermind them proceeds to create illusions of himself in a last ditch effort to survive, but Wolverine discovers the real one and defeats him.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Mind Control Powers: Mastermind has the power to control people's minds, making them believe what he wants them to believe, and tricking them into doing his will.
- Illusion Creation: Mastermind can create illusions to trick his enemies, being able to generate fake duplicates of himself only detectable via an enemy with super senses.

Trivia[]
- If the player stands still while using Mastermind, an idle animation will occur, revealing that his true form is actually being hidden by an illusion that he maintains throughout the entire game.
