~ Matthew Mitchell |
Matthew Mitchell is a minor character in "Stan" by the famous rapper Eminem, and the main antagonist of a later Eminem song, "Bad Guy". Matthew was originally just the younger brother of Stan, Eminem's crazed fan. However, when Stan killed both himself and his pregnant wife, Matthew went insane and grew up with plans to hunt down and kill Eminem.
Biography[]
Stan[]
Matthew was the younger brother to Stan, a man who was completely obsessed with the rapper Eminem, confusing him with his fictitious alter-ego Slim Shady. Matthew was also a very big fan of Eminem's work, even liking him more than Stan does (or so Stan claims). Matthew went with his older brother to concerts and conventions that Eminem was at. However, eventually Stan, driven mad by his idol not responding to his letters, drove himself and his pregnant wife off a bridge, killing them both. This sent Matthew off the edge and led to him growing up with a deep-seated hatred for Eminem.
Bad Guy[]
Now grown up and with a thirst for blood, Matthew stalked Eminem (confusing fiction from reality like his brother, and thinking of Eminem as being Slim Shady) and plotted to murder him as a way to avenge his brother. He eventually found the perfect time to strike, while Eminem was by himself, minding his own business. Matthew attacked him and put him to sleep with a chloroform rag. He locked him inside the trunk of his car and drove off, with plans of burying Eminem alive. However, Matthew was driving too quickly getting the attention of the police. Matthew, realizing he was being chased by the police, quickly changed plans and decided to drive off a nearby bridge, causing the deaths of Eminem and presumably himself.
