Matthijs Van Der Meer is a supporting antagonist in the Law & Order: Organized Crime Honey Farm Arc. He is a hitman hired by a crime lord to murder people linked to his organization

Born in Antwerp, Belgium on December 19th 1988, Van Deer Meer became a prolific assassin responsible for dozens of murders, series of assaults, possessing illegal weapons, hiding an undetectable knife, and passport fraud. By the time of the episode, he has been active in England, France, Croatia, India, South Africa, Argentina, Columbia, Venezuela, Indonesia, Myanmar, and the U.S. When Abdul-Azim Ghan, an emerald trafficker who carved “pockets” into immigrants to smuggle drugs came under fire by Imam Kasi, who was going to expose him, he hired Van Deer to murder him.

Buying a sniper rifle from a notorious gun dealer who gave convicted felons guns, he hired Asher Klein to write a xenophobic saying on the mosque the Imam was in. When Kasi looked at Asher and got into his sights, he shot Isam in the head and bombed the mosque, killing 4 other people and injuring Asher alongside other civilians. To tie up loose ends, Matthijis beats a police officer to death with a wrench, stuffs him in the trunk, steals his outfit, and goes to Asher’s hospital bed, where he poisons his IV, killing him. After going to a warehouse where the maker of the bomb resides, he slits his throat and rigs his phone to a bomb. When Stabler and Ayanna Bell go to look at the phone, he activates it, which almost kills them.
On orders of Abdul, he kidnaps Jamal Karzi and his son Karim before bringing them to Abdul. Bobby Reyes and Jet Slootmaekers go to a gas station occupied by Yoon and Reyes goes undercover to buy a gun. The situation ends up successful, but Reyes ends up brutally beating Ji-An’s son. Jamal is then fortunately found in a building with surgical wounds after being experimented on by Dr. Ahmadzai. In a gas station he likes to frequent, he buys a soda and scratches off tickets from an undercover Jet. Unfortunately, he realizes that the worker who is usually there at night is replaced by Jet. When a delivery worker comes in, he grabs him by the neck and holds him hostage. Stabler tells him to drop his gun, but Deer Meer throws the delivery man at Stabler and shoots the delivery man dead. With help from Jamal, the organized crime unit finds the warehouse he and Abdul are hiding. At the warehouse, he asks for the money from Abdul but they are interrupted when the NYPD breaks in. Van Deer Meer runs to the roof, while Abdul is arrested and Karzai is found in a closet. Stabler runs to the roof to take down Matthijs, but when he tries to shoot Stabler, Elliot quickly reacts and shoots him, dropping him off a ledge.
