Mauga is a major antagonist in the Overwatch franchise.
He is the 39th hero to be added to Overwatch 2.
Biography[]
Mauga was once a member of the eco-rebel group the Deepsea Raiders. However, after being critically wounded during one battle, he was taken into surgery, and given a second mechanical heart to make him stronger. This second heart helped keep him alive, and is the source to all of his superhuman strength.
After the Deepsea Raiders died out, Mauga got bored and began searching for a new job. Word of Doomfist killing the Scourge of Numbani caught his attention, and he attempted to challenge Doomfist to a duel. Amused, the Talon leader agreed, and the match ended in a draw. Impressed by Mauga's skill, Doomfist offered Mauga a job with Talon, and he accepted it.
