Biography[]
Season 1[]
Levy works closely with the Barksdale Organization and represents its members in court. He is introduced defending Avon Barksdale's nephew, D'Angelo Barksdale, from a murder charge. D'Angelo is deemed not guilty, mainly due to witness intimidation by the Barksdales.
Levy goes beyond merely defending the Barksdales in court, sometimes giving them advise on how to keep their illegal activities under wraps, consulting with Stringer Bell and Avon about how to protect themselves given their suspicions that they are under police investigation and suggesting that they should eliminate any loose ends. However, he asserts on multiple occasions that he doesn't want to know too much about Avon and Stringer's activities as to keep his corruption less conspicuous.
When Orlando, a strip club manager whose business serves as a front for the Barksdale Organization, tries to purchase drugs to distribute himself and is arrested for this, Levy is sent down to jail to remove Orlando from the club's alcohol licence. In doing so, Levy taunts him over his failures to get in on the action of the drug trade, snidely asking him how he likes "the game" now.
