Maurice "Maury" Beverly is one of the main characters in Big Mouth. He is a hormone monster, who mainly stalks Andrew Glouberman and helps his clients go through puberty. He is villainous for being a bad influence on the kids he controls and causing them to do harmful and inappropriate things, while getting off scott-free.

As a four billion year old man, who gets heavily involved with teenagers going through puberty and also goes into great detail about how sexually arousing teenage girls/boys are, Maury comes across as an ambiguous pedophile.

He is voiced by Nick Kroll, who also portrayed Tippy Tinkletrousers in Captain Underpants and Douche in Sausage Party.

Biography

Maurice Beverly was first born at the beginning of time, when a giant blue alien came to Earth four billion years ago and had sex with it, causing the Pangea to split up, for mountains and volcanoes to form, and water to flow onto the land, bringing life to the planet. Among the blossoming of life, rose Maurice Beverly, who became the monster who would control all of puberty among the human males on Earth.

In the 21th century A.D., Maury stalks a 13-year-old Jewish boy named Andrew Glouberman, who he gives erections, nocturnal emissions, and unlawful sexual urges, which usually leads to him doing inappropriate things in public that make him look like an asshole. Meanwhile, Maury doesn't get any punishment himself because he's invisible to everybody else. Maury also controls his anger and causes him to lash out at other people for bad reasons and make an ass of himself.

Villainous Acts

• In "Ejaculation", Maury came up in the middle of class and gave Andrew a raging boner, forcing him to leave class and jerk off in the bathroom. During Andrew's sleepover with Nick, he convinced him to jerk off to Nick's dead grandmother's clock while sleeping right next to him. He later convinced him to jerk off to a picture of his dad'a law assistant, Susan. In the climax of the episode, Maury fueled Andrew's unhealthy anger and encouraged Andrew to lash out at his friend for going to the dance with a girl and hurt his feelings.
• In "Requiem for a Wet Dream", Maury harassed Andrew on his date with Missy and tried to give him a boner on his date but Andrew was able to shut him out. Maury went a little too far with his sexual fantasies and had sex with the severed head of Garrison Keillor. After his inappropriate outburst, Maury needed to go to rehab and get clean with Rick as his teacher. Shortly after escaping rehab, Maury relapsed and gave Andrew a raging boner at the science fair, which scared Missy away and ultimately caused the whole world to fall apart around him before Andrew eventually fell into a volcano and died.
• In "The Pornscape", Maury convinced Andrew, an underage minor, to start watching pornography. Andrew quickly got addicted to porn and after just one day, he soaked all of his socks and underwear with semen. Maury also punched a hole in the all and drew a girl around it to have Andrew fuck it. Maury convinced Andrew to throw his jizz soaked clothes in the trash behind Temple Beth Amphetimine, which would later be the dumping spot for The Ponytail Killer to dumb his body. Because Andrew's DNA got on the corpse, this later got Andrew falsely arrested for murder and sent to jail. During this time, the FBI did some investigating into Andrew's house and saw that he had a bunch of pornography on his computer, a hole in the wall with a girl drawn on it, and a picture of Susan taped to a magazine, which made Andrew look like a complete monster in front of his parents. All the while, Maury received no punishment for his actions, despite being mostly responsible for everything that transpired.
• In "My Furry Valentine", Maury encouraged Andrew to get mad at Lars for being friends with his girlfriend and got him to get so mad at him that he ripped him out of his wheelchair and beat him. He also tricked Andrew into destroying Lola's highly expensive TV. This caused Andrew to become a social pariah at school.
• In "Girls Are Angry Too", Maury had Andrew sexually harass the female students by perving out over their clothing.
• In "Florida", Maury convinced Andrew to get into an incestuous relationship with his cousin, Cherry.
• In "'How to Have an Orgasm", Maury took pictures of Andrew's penis and convinced him to send a dick pic to Cherry, directly partaking in making child pornography and distributing it to another minor. Maury also perved out over Cherry's titty pics she sent to Andrew, making him a bit of a pedo himself. Andrew got in tons of trouble when his parents found out what he did and Maury, as usual, got off scott free.
