Maxie Zeus is a DC Comics supervillain, and an enemy toward Batman. He's a delusional crime boss who believes himself to be the god Zeus.
Biography
His first criminal act in Gotham City was the blood contract on an old enemy called Long John Logan. However, his murder attempt was foiled by Batman.
Formerly a history professor, he is mentally ill and built his persona around an obsession with Greek mythology.
Maxie Zeus was created by the late Dennis O'Neil and the late Don Newton, and he first appeared in Detective Comics #483 (May, 1979).
He is frequently incarcerated in Arkham Asylum. He was briefly a member of the New Olympians.
