Maximilien François Marie Isidore de Robespierre, better known as simply Robespierre is the secondary antagonist of DreamWorks' 28th full-length animated feature film Mr. Peabody & Sherman, which is based on the “Peabody's Improbable History” segments of the 1959-1964 comedy television series The Adventure of Rocky and Buckwinkle and Friends.
He is an oppressive corrupt politician of France during the Reign of Terror.
He is voiced by Guillaume Aretos.
Biography[]
He tries to execute Mr. Peabody because he thinks that he and the others are the aristocrats oppressing the common folk of France. He tries to execute Mr. Peabody with the guillotine, but fails to do so. Angered about being tricked by a cantaloupe, Robespierre orders his men to get Mr. Peabody. Meanwhile, Mr. Peabody and Sherman run away in the sewers. They then encounter Robespierre, and Mr. Peabody tricks him with yet another cantaloupe, which allowed Robespierre's sword to go into Mr. Peabody's hands. Equipped with another soldier's sword, they engage in a sword fight, until Mr. Peabody tricks Robespierre yet again, and made the the sewer lid above crash on Robespierre, and Mr. Peabody and Sherman make their escape.
Later, the rip in the space time continuum opens, which causes the people and objects from the past to travel right into the present. When the police arrived, they advised Robespierre to back away from the WABAC. He refuses; and gets tased. Later, he joins in on saying "I'm a dog too", adding that he is a poodle. When the time rift is repaired, he returns to his own time and tries to tase his men when they don't cooperate, but ends up tasing himself.
