I am the King of Attilan...
~ Maximus before Attilan's destruction.
I'm not one of them Gorgon! I've never been to Earth, regardless of what my genes might suggest, I'm an Inhuman like the rest of you.
~ Maximus.

Maximus Boltagon, or simply referred to as Maximus, is the main antagonist of the ABC TV series, Marvel's Inhumans.

Maximus is a former Inhuman, the revolutionary prince of Attilan and the brother of king Black Bolt. Although he appeared to be fiercely devoted to his family and his people, he was however more desired to overthrow his brother as the new King of Attilan and finally become Inhuman again. Unlike his mainstream comic counterpart, who was a power-hungry, mind-controlling tyrant, this version of Maximus does not have powers and devoted most of his life to ensuring better future for his people.

He is portrayed by Iwan Rheon, who is best known for his appearance as Ramsay Bolton in Game of Thrones.

Maximus was the second son of Agon and the younger brother of Black Bolt. While Black Bolt was not very intrested in becoming king, Maximus greatly desired the throne. Since the throne can only go the firstborn of the royal family, Maximus would later plot a way for Black Bolt to abandon the throne. This causes Black Bolt to accidently kill their parents by shouting with his enchanced voice caused by terrigenesis. However, when the time came to go through terrigenesis, Maximus did not recieve any gifted abilities.
