Maya is an employee of Tatewaki Konzern and one of the secondary antagonists of Tokusou Robo Janperson.
She acts as assistant and bodyguard to Ryuzaburo Tatewaki, serving as one of his two secretaries alongside Sarah. She typically acts as intermediary for Tatewaki, giving orders to and negotiating with the criminals contracted by the financial corporation to avoid bringing suspicion to her boss.
She is portrayed by Hiromi Imai.
Biography[]
When Tatewaki's plan to steal weapons from a JSDF base was foiled by Janperson, Sarah and Maya went to notify Tatewaki about it while he was holding a meeting with his board, leading Tatewaki to vow to destroy Janperson. After Sarah hired Bounty Killer Django, the Street Fighters and Doki to assassinate the robot, Maya and Sarah then brought Tatewaki to a barren field, where they had the assassins demonstrate their powers to him. During the demonstration, a piece of shrapnel from one of the Janperson dummies they had set up got blown towards Tatewaki, but Maya assumed her combat form and sliced it in half. Satisfied after seeing all of the assassins destroy dummies of Janperson with their powers, Tatewaki put in motion his plans to destroy Janperson. After Doki brought the children to a barren field, Janperson arrived to rescue them and was met by the four assassins. Sarah and Maya stood with Tatewaki as he observed the confrontation from afar. However, Janperson was able to fight them all off and save the children.
Maya would later participate in a scheme by Tatewaki to build a special car to count Janperson's Jeycar. She and Cindy kidnapped Dr. Nikaido, a scientist who had designed a superpowered cannon Tatewaki wanted to outfit his super car with. When Nikaido refused to comply, Maya kidnapped his son Masaharu to force him to go along with Tatewaki's designs. As Nikaido was working on the design however, he began to have heart troubles, leading Masaharu to volunteer to finish the cannon in his father's place, as he had the blueprints memorized. Masaharu completed the cannon, but rigged it to explode after it fired its tenth shot. With the cannon in place, Tatewaki ordered his secretaries to dispose of the professor, as they only needed Masaharu to use as a hostage against Janperson. However, Masaharu dove in front of his father and took the shot instead, exposing him as a robot. Tatewaki then directed Maya get in the car and use the professor as a hostage instead, leaving behind Masaharu in their hideout. When Janperson arrived in his Jeycar to rescue Masaharu and his father, Maya drove Tatewaki's own car to fight Janperson in his. Maya managed to get the upper hand against Janperson initially, until Janperson called in his JeyGulliver for assistance. Before Maya could fire the tenth shot, Janperson managed to get both her and the professor out of the car. Maya then retreated with Cindy and Tatewaki.
