Mayor George W. Buckman is the main antagonist of Herschell Gordon Lewis' 1964 splatter/exploitation horror film, Two Thousand Maniacs!, as well as the 2005 remake 2001 Maniacs, as well as the remakes sequel, 2001 Maniacs: Field of Screams. He is the mayor of Pleasant Valley and the lover of Granny Boone.

In the original film, he was portrayed by the late Jeffrey Allen. In the remake, he was portrayed by horror film icon Robert Englund, who also portrayed Freddy Krueger in Field of Screams. He was portrayed by Bill Moseley, who also portrayed Chop Top Sawyer in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Otis B. Driftwood in Rob Zombie’s Firefly franchise.

Mayor Buckman appears to be a kind, yet eccentric colonial mayor on the surface. But is actually an angry vengeful man who despises Northerners for destroying the entire town during the Civil War.
