Mayor Frederick Toadstool is a supporting character in Disney Channel animated series Amphibia. He's the corrupt, opportunistic and greedy mayor of Wartwood Swamp, that always tries raise his wealth. He starts off as the secondary antagonist of Season 1, but he becomes an ally to Anne and The Plantars by the Season finale.
Biography[]
He first appears in the very first episode "Anne or Beast?", where he, upon learning about the mysterious beast in nearby woods ordered his capture. When the townspeople captured that "beast", Earth girl Anne Boonchuy, they eventually encounter giant mantis, aand after Anne helped them defeat it, Toadstool, alongside everyone else, skeptically allowed her to stay.
His first villainous role is in "Breakout Star", when he exploits Anne's popularity for his own benefit, giving her luxiry room, but after Anne exposes truth about herself, Toadstool in a fit of rage insults townspeople, causing him to be chased away. He later had other villainous role, like in "Toad Tax", when he incriminated townspeople into being robbed by Toad Army to keep their taxes, or in "Hop Popular", when he attempted to blackmail Hop Pop in losing run for mayor on purpose
