Mayumi Joutouguu is a major antagonist in Wily Beast and Wicked Creature, serving as the Stage 5 boss. She is the commander of the Haniwa army created by Keiki Haniyasushin.
History[]
Mayumi Joutouguu was constructed by Keiki Haniyasushin to lead the army of Haniwa soldiers she had crafted to protect the human spirits of the Animal Realm, who were continually preyed upon by the four powerful beast spirit families who ruled the realm. Mayumi and her army were able to drive the animal spirits out of the Primate Spirit Garden and began working to expand the territory of the human spirits, resulting in the Keiga Family and Kiketsu Family entering into a temporary alliance to stop them. Yachie Kicchou, the Kiketsu Family head, lured Reimu Hakurei, Marisa Kirisame and Youmu Konpaku into the Animal Realm and had them be possessed by animal spirits from one of the four families in order to use them to defeat the Haniwa, as the animal spirits themselves lacked physical bodies.
Mayumi was confronted by Reimu, Marisa and Youmu on their way to face Keiki and fought against them only to be defeated, allowing for the animal spirits to pass into the Primate Spirit Garden.
