The MePhones are major antagonists of the animated web series Inanimate Insanity.

They are a line of smartphones created by Meeple Inc. founder and CEO, Steve Cobs to do his bidding and eventually track down and assassinate MePhone4 and his contestants, when he went rogue on the company.

Among the MePhones, 1 is voiced by YellowAngiru, 3G is voiced by Olivia Ciabattari, 5S is voiced by Isaac Suh, 5C is voiced by Jill Katz, while 6 and 6+ were voiced by Taylor Grodin.

Major MePhones[]

MePhone3GS[]

MePhone3GS is the third known MePhone created by Steve Cobs. 3GS was developed to steal eggs from the Light Shimmers alongside MePhones 1 and 3G. This results in 3GS only being able to retrieve a single egg before having his screen cracked, while his comrades were killed in action. After Cobs found out about this, he tortured 3GS for his failure, and locked him away in a storage closet. After over a decade in captivity, MePhone3GS escaped and reunited with MePhone4 and the contestants to live a happy life.

MePhone4[]

MePhone4 is the fourth known MePhone created by Steve Cobs, and developed with a "highly-advanced emotion emulator." As a result of becoming more emotional, MePhone4 often rebelled against Cobs by not following tasks, and doing his own things, such as watching reality shows and eating snacks. Because of this, Cobs became more abusive towards MePhone4 which led to him running away from headquarters to become the host of Inanimate Insanity, butting a strain on their relationship. Additionally, Cobs also developed the following MePhones with less personality traits and assigned them to track down and assassinate MePhone4.

MePhone4S[]

MePhone4S was the fifth known MePhone created by Steve Cobs, and was assigned to assassinate MePhone4 and replace him as the host of his show. After his initial defeat in "4Seeing The Future", MePhone4S came back episodes later to warn MePhone4 about MePhone5, a far more powerful being than the two combined. MePhone4S defeats his successor with Taco, but in turn, accidentally also kills MePhone4 and Bow. So he has a full change of heart and willingly downgrades himself to resurrect MePhone4.

MePhone5[]

MePhone5 was the sixth known MePhone created by Steve Cobs, and was assigned to assassinate MePhone4, after MePhone4S failure and eventual redemption. He appears in the final, multi-part episode "Journey Through Memory Lane" as the final obstacle, where he opposes MePhone4 and MePhone4S. During the climax of the episode, where he nearly succeeds with killing MePhone4, MePhone4S uses Taco to knock MePhone5 off the cliff, where he electrocutes and explodes, alongside 4 and Bow.

MePhoneX[]

MePhoneX is the thirteenth known MePhone created by Steve Cobs, and is the latest of the MePhone brand. It is a robot deprived from any emotions that Cobs assigned to delete all the contestants and find MePhone4, and has known electrokinesis that it uses to remove all life from the characters. It is later revealed to be a robotic suit controlled by Toilet, who was manipulated by Meeple Inc., and eventually Steve Cobs himself. MePhoneX gets destroyed while protecting Cobs from falling to his death.

Biography[]

NOTE: The following paragraphs below will only talk about the MePhones that are not listed above.

In “Let Er’ R.I.P.”, MePhone5S appears via teleportation, who Test Tube immediately recognizes, before MePhone5C teleports in as well, and claims she is the most colorful MePhone in existence. As the two bicker, they soon realize their plan is to terminate MePhone4 and ask Test Tube and Fan where he might be. Test Tube tricks the two MePhones by saying that MePhone4 is down the cliff, causing them to fall off and explode upon touching the water.

In “Theft and Battery”, when the Grand Slams travel to Meeple Inc. headquarters to retrieve a new battery for MePhone4, MePhone6 guards the path leading up to the company. Knife simply disposes him by tapping his screen, sending MePhone6 plummeting down and exploding. Later when Paintbrush retrieves the battery needed, they alongside the rest of the Bright Lights book it out of the headquarters, before being confronted by MePhone6+, who they tap to defeat.

In "Alternate Reality Show”, after Lightbulb and Test Tube travel to an alternate timeline, MePhone7 appears as both Salt and Pepper's caterer, and only communicates in beeping. Here, he is called after Bandana questions if Lightbulb and Test Tube were always contestants on the show, causing him to respond with beeping. He is then called by Salt for the request of a fashion show challenge, and spawns in a stage. Later, MePhone7 becomes replaced by his successor, MePhone7+, as Salt and Pepper explain that they use the MePhone to replace contestants. When Lightbulb and Test Tube revise the timeline back to normal, the fates for both MePhone7 and MePhone7+ become unknown.

In "The Reality of the Situation", during the opening flashback, MePhone1 and MePhone3G are seen with MePhone3GS stealing eggs from the Light Shimmers. When the three are on the run, MePhone3GS ensures his fellow comrades about their future, right before MePhone1 is impaled by one of the Shimmer's spears. When making it to their ship, MePhone3GS activates the launch mechanism while he attempts to retrieve MePhone3G onboard. Soon after, MePhone3G is impaled by a spear as well, causing her corpse to fall off the ship.
