The Meanies are major antagonists in the children's CBeebies series Numberjacks.
They are a hostile organization of individuals, whose primary goal is to cause chaos and problems in the world. They are the sworn enemies of the titular heroes. It is not known what their motivation to cause problems was, but some Meanies' mention they do it simply for the love of causing difficulty.
Biography[]
The Meanies are seen throughout the series, often as individuals, showing up and making various issues for the world. Their plans are frequently foiled by the Numberjacks in various different ways. They appear occasionally as a collective, where they are taken on by many of the Numberjacks, each using their abilities to take on one of the Meanies.
When the Meanies arrive on a beach, the One, Two, Three, Four, Six, Seven, Eight, and Nine form to take them on. They unite their powers and electrocute the Meanies, which defeats them.
Members[]
- Numbertaker - The only human member of the Meanies, and arguably the most devious. Using his number sucker-upper to erase numbers from the world.
- Puzzler - A puzzle-obsessed anthropomorphic floating-head. He is perhaps the most reasonable of the Meanies as when the Numberjacks beat his puzzles, he accepts defeat.
- Shape Japer - An immature brat with a scary face who seeks to cause mayhem with shapes.
- Spooky Spoon - An arrogant floating spoon who is seemingly the nemesis of Six.
- Problem Blob - An amorphous globule of green goo, which emits blobs of slime that cause a range of problems.
- One - Brainwashed member.
- Zero - Brainwashed member.
Trivia[]
- The only time all the Meanies are seen collectively is in the episode "Seaside Adventure".
- When One and Zero are introduced, the pair seemingly work for the Meanies. It is thought that they were brainwashed to cause havoc due to their immaturity.
