Dragons, alias Meat, are the titular main faction of Yellow Book's Brave Series franchise. The origins of the Dragons are full of tragedy and change. They did not start out as the giant dragons we traditionally think of, but as a group of humans driven out by their own country. From victims of mankind, the Dragons have become a powerful race, trying to find their own way of survival and future direction despite the oppression and misunderstanding they face from mankind.

Dragons were originally turned into humans, and in the process of turning into dragons, they became the Meat. The Meat has no ability to think, and only eats their own clan members, and later became angry and wanted to seek revenge after becoming dragons.
Biography[]
A group of humans who have been banished by their own country. They have traveled to a cold, distant land in hopes of a new life. These people were born with great magical powers and the ability to cast fire, but they are good people and use their fire only for cooking, not for harming any mortals. However, under the harsh environment, they were threatened by hunger and gradually developed the behavior of "man-eating man, flesh-eating flesh". In order to satisfy their need for survival, they even developed powerful magic that could make their clan members tens of times bigger, so that one person could be used as food for everyone to eat for a period of time. These "meat" who are suppressed by magic, lose their purpose in life, and just wait to be eaten, their food source is also "meat", forming this twisted cycle.
Eventually, a group of angry clansmen sought a way to overthrow this fate. They succeeded in "awakening" to their inner desire to be free from their fate and became "Dragons". This awakening was the spark that led to the origin of the Dragons. After awakening, the Dragons hunted down their original clansmen, crossed the valley where they once lived, and eventually found a grassland full of life and food. They realized that they had suffered so much just because of the mountain that separated them. So they decided to take revenge on the people who had driven them from their country.
