Mecha-Petey is a minor antagonist in Captain Underpants and the Sensational Saga of Sir Stinks-A-Lot, the twelfth installment in the Captain Underpants franchise, serving as the main antagonist of the comic within it, Dog Man: The Bark Knight Cometh.
He is a robot doppelgänger of Petey the Cat who is bent on destroying the world and anyone who gets in his ways.
History[]
Before Dog Man: The Bark Knight Cometh[]
Not much is known about Mecha-Petey's origin. It can be assumed that Petey the Cat created him, and that Mecha-Petey murdered him.
Dog Man: The Bark Knight Cometh[]
Mecha-Petey is first seen disguised as Dog Man and terrorizing the chief of police and another police officer named Milly. Milly exclaims and asks why Dog Man was acting so feral, to which Mecha-Petey took off his mask and revealing himself, yet the officers believed he was Petey, with Chief even stating that he though Petey died.
Milly, questioning what happened to Dog Man, asks the robotic cat in disguise, to which he states that Dog Man should have been dead by now due to his Venus-Flytrap Monkeys.
The robotic cat fully takes his disguise out and reveals a sword, exclaiming that the two worried police officers were now going to die.
Unbeknownst to the three of them, hidden in the shadows, a sinister yet familiar face was upon them. As Mecha-Petey went to kill Chief and Milly with a final slash of a sword, the menacing figure leaped out of the shadows and used his bone nun-chunks to destroy the sword before anything fatal happened.
Mecha-Petey then becomes shocked and states that the figure, now revealed to be Dog Man as the Bark Knight, owed him fifteen dollars before running up to him and uppercutting the dog-headed man. The two of them had a huge fight, and as it seemed Mecha-Petey would win, Bark Knight hit his foe in the gut with a final blow.
Mecha-Petey finally reveals himself in anger and uses his robotics in attempt to murder Bark Knight. However, Milly decides to join in by sprinting to the action and kicking Mecha-Petey in the face with a final, final blow.
Milly's kick reveals that the robotic cat wasn't even a robot. It wasn't even a cat. Instead, it was all just Flippy the Fish, at the time named Porkbelly, ending the climatic comic with a cliffhanger.
Appearance[]
His appearance is the same as Petey, but in robotic style and his eyes are not black dots.

Trivia[]
- When Petey revealed he was Mecha-Petey, Milly was shocked, with Chief replying that he thought he was dead. This implies the real Mecha Petey is actually dead.
- Similarly, Chief exclaims that he thought Petey was dead when he saw Mecha Petey for the first time. This could possibly mean that the real Mecha Petey likely murdered Petey the Cat.
- Going by this logic, it can also be assumed he murdered Li'l Petey, as he is a major character in the real Dog Man series, yet he is not found in the comic.
