Medusa is a minor antagonist in the second installment of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid spin-off book series, Rowley Jefferson's Awesome Friendly Adventure.
She is a snake haired monster who turns anybody who enters her cave into stone, and her only reasoning for the crimes that she did is simply because he gave her snakes harsh shampoo to try to wash her hair.
Appearance[]
She is a monster who has a long tail for legs and has snakes for her hair, and she is also shown to have freckles on her face as well.
She is first to be wearing a bath robe when she is shown on-screen for the first time, and is then wearing a black shirt the next time she is on-screen.
Personality[]
She is shown to be neglectful to those who enter her cave, as she used to turn anybody who entered her cave into stone before her redemption, and she is also shown to be somewhat sly as well. As she tried to fool Roland into thinking that animals that weren't actually in her cave were in her cave.
When she redeems herself, she doesn't try to turn Roland (or anybody else for that matter) into stone, and then after that. She has seemingly mellowed down.
Biography[]
Before Roland and Garg entered her cave, she had already turned many other characters into stone, but Sherlock Holmes pretended to be turned into stone while he really wasn't, but when Medusa appears on-screen for the first time. He then tells Roland and Garg to keep their eyes closed, but out of mere curiously, Garg takes a peak at Medusa, only to get turned into stone by her. Roland and Sherlock then go into Medusa's bathroom, but they then get trapped in there, and when Medusa went into her bathroom, Roland tries to turn her into stone. But this only causes her to reflect her sight back at Sherlock, which causes him to be turned into stone, when Roland closes his eyes to try not to be turned into stone, Medusa tries to trick him into open his eyes by telling him that things that really weren't Medusa's cave were in Medusa's cave. But when Roland realizes that he couldn't keep his eyes closed forever, he tells Medusa to use gentle shampoo to calm down her snakes, despite Medusa thinking that it was a trick at first, she decides to try it out anyways. And it did work for her, since her snakes weren't hissing anymore.
Roland then opened his eyes since he knew that Medusa couldn't turn people into stone anymore, when she asks if Roland thinks that she's more pretty, he decides not to answer. And Medusa then redeems herself by telling Roland about the One-Eyed Wizard before leaving to start a professional modeling job in New York, and after this, she does not reappear again in the story, and due to this. It's unknown if her job in New York is going successful or not.
