Medusa is a minor antagonist and the 3rd Boss Floor in the gray temple from the webnovel and Manwha series, Max Level Newbie. She is one of the difficult bosses to complete due to her ability to turn people to stone if they make eye contact with her.
Appearance[]
Unlike her original appearace is depicted from many literatures, she is covered in green like appearance of a snake with her hair in darker green bonding with snakes. She only appeared once she gets irritated if one of her snake guardians were killed.

Origins[]
She is a human originally but was later turned into gorgon along with her sisters, Euryale and Stheno, comprising a half snake and human and Medusa is the only Gorgon to be iconic due to her ability to turn people into stone and one of the dangerous monsters in Greek Mythology.
However, some versions were changed especially by Ovid, the Roman poet, who described Medusa, as originally a beautiful maiden, but she was later raped by Poseidon in Athena's temple who rejected him which enraged Athena cursing her hair to snakes and making her face horrible to make others turn to stone if they look at her.
She is later killed by Perseus in Greek Mythology, who cleverly used the shield as a mirror to see Medusa without making an eye contact without being petrified by her.
Abilities[]
- Petrification: Once the individual makes eye contact, they will be turned to stone, making it a statue, its impossible to return them to normal.
- Gorgon Physiology: Physiology of a half human and snake, combining her both animal and human but cursed
- High Intelligence: She has grasp a perception and used her powers to her advantage blocking players from completing the floor. However she is not highly intelligent compared to Kang Jinhyeok who is immune to her gaze.
