Well, I've lied... a lot. I've stolen. I've lusted. And the other day I met this man - a nice guy, you know? And we had a really good chat... sort of like this. Then I slit his throat and ripped his heart out through his chest. Does that make me a bad person?
~ "Meg" to pastor Jim Murphy

"Meg Masters" is a major antagonist of the TV series Supernatural. She is a demon with many names but is known by everyone as Meg after the girl she once possessed. The daughter of the demon Azazel, Meg served as his minion in Season 1 and later as Lucifer's as well.

Portrayals[]

  • She was portrayed by the late Nicki Aycox in Season 1, who also portrayed Amber Canardo in Criminal Mind.
  • She was portrayed by Jared Padelacki in Season 2 (while possessing Sam Winchester), who also portrayed Lucifer and some shapeshifters disguised as Sam in the same series.
  • She was portrayed by Rachel Miner in Seasons 5-8, and 15, who also portrayed Jenna Reid in The Butterfly Effect 3: Revelations.

Biography[]

Serving Azazel[]

Knock yourself out. It's a host body. Some girl from Cheboygan. Moved to LA to become an actress. It's probably not even the worst thing that ever happened to her

Meg Devil Trap

Meg was the daughter of the demon Azazel and served as his minion. She followed Sam and Dean on their journey to find him and killed many of their hunter friends along the way. After they realized she was a demon, they exorcised her out of the young blonde whom she was possessing. But Meg returned in season with a new body; Sam Winchester. However, they once again found a way to defeat Meg, once again.

New Life[]

Meg returned two seasons later with a brand new body of a brunette girl, now serving as Lucifer's henchmen.

Following Lucifer's re-imprisonment in his cage in "Swan Song", Meg sought vengeance on Crowley for having helped trap Lucifer and taking his place as King of Hell; to this end, she made an uneasy alliance with Sam and Dean, needing more allies as her fellow loyalists were hunted down by Crowley's forces.

Meg was captured by Crowley at the end of "Survival of the Fittest" and was tortured by him for a year, but refrained from giving him the information he wanted from her, instead passing it on to the Winchesters and Castiel when they came to her rescue in "Goodbye Stranger". She fended Crowley off long enough for the boys to retrieve the angel tablet and escape before he killed her.

When Crowley himself arrived, Meg held him off and sent Sam into the crypt to get Dean and Castiel who she revealed she was in love with by calling him "my unicorn", a phrase she had used to refer to Sam's girlfriend. She remained loyal to the Winchesters when Crowley tried to convince her to turn on them; even though they planned to seal all demons in Hell forever (including her), she would help them simply because they planned to kill Crowley. They then fought but Crowley quickly overpowered and beat her down, taunting her that he could torture her for eternity.

Death[]

After Crowley noticed Sam and Dean escape to the Impala, Meg deduced that Castiel's absence meant that he had already escaped with the tablet, which she taunted Crowley about before injuring him in the shoulder with an angel blade. In a fit of rage, Crowley stabbed her to death with an angel blade of his own.

The Shadow as Meg

Meg's last vessel appearance was later used by the Shadow to communicate with Castiel and the Winchester brothers in season 15.

Powers and Abilities[]

  • Immortality: As a demon, Meg has an infinite lifespan and had the potential to live forever. She is not subject to disease or old age.
  • Invulnerability: Meg cannot be harmed or killed by conventional means. Even though she was thrown from a building and shot several times, Meg quickly recovered both times and she has not shown any signs of lingering pain or damage. She also proved to be able to resist torture and enter sacred places like a church.
  • Possession: Like all demons, Meg requires a human host, living or deceased, to physically manifest herself on Earth.
  • Telekinesis: As a demon, Meg can move objects with her mind. She was able to throw Dean and Bob into walls by just looking at them.
  • Superhuman Strength: Being the daughter of a prince of hell, Meg was endowed with incredible superhuman strength.
  • Super Senses: Meg is able to feel if other demons are getting close, even though there is a distance.
  • Superhuman Agility: Meg possesses reflexes far greater than those of a human. She was able to easily dodge a knife thrown at her by the pastor Jim Murphy.
  • Teleportation: Meg can teleport herself and others over great distances with ease.
  • Spell Casting: Meg has proved herself adept at blood magic. She can contact other demonic entities through the Goblet of Blood.
  • Biokinesis: Meg was able to cause Crowley to cough up blood.
  • Weather Manipulation: Meg is able to alter the weather to a limited extent such as creating sudden gusts of wind.
  • Flight: In her true demonic form, Meg is able to fly.

Quites[]

I'm simpler than you think. I figured out one thing about this world - just one pretty much. You find a cause and you serve it. Give yourself over and it orders your life. Lucifer and Yellow Eyes ... their mission was it for me. Obviously these things shift over time. We learn, we grow. Now, for me currently, the cause is bringing down the King. I know what I'm supposed to do. And it isn't screw with Sam and Dean or lose the only angel who'd go to bat for me.
