Mega Mom and Destructo Dad are minor antagonists of the Cartoon Network show Codename: Kids Next Door. They are the main antagonists of the episode "Operation: C.H.A.D.".
They are a pair of supervillain parents who wield stupefying abilities, they are capable of completely immobilizing any opposing individual they may encounter. They used this technology to neutralize every Kids Next Door operative on earth with the exception of Chad Dickson (referred to as Numbuh 274 and is also their son).
Mega Mom is voiced by Grey Delisle, who also voices Vicky in The Fairly Oddparents, Asajj Ventress in Star Wars: Clone Wars, the High Priestess in Samurai Jack, and Mandy in The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. Destructo Dad is voiced by Jeff Bennett, who also voices Mr. Boss and Mr. Fizz in the same series, Amos Slade in The Fox and the Hound 2, Owen Burnett and Malibu in Gargoyles, the Basketball Body, Party Pete, and the Chief Executive in Regular Show, and Jacques von Hämsterviel in the Lilo and Stitch films.
Biography[]
In "Operation C.H.A.D.", they are first seen attacking many Kids Next Door operatives across the world, displaying many agents being stupefied in France, Egypt, and China. Sector V watches as these events unfold and realize they're the only remaining branches that have not been neutralized. They soon pick up a signal of an aircraft crashing, which had a KND operative inside; realizing that he has not been taken down completely, Sector V makes an attempt to rescue them.
The operative was revealed to have been Numbuh 274 himself, who was considered to be one of the best agents of the Kids Next Door organization. He tells Sector V that they need to seek safety, but Mega Mom soon appears and tries to zap them with her stupefication rays. The remaining operatives decide to retreat after realizing they can't defeat her, but not before Numbuh 5's leg was hit by one of the beams. Despite this, they managed to escape to Sector V's treehouse.
Numbuh 274 explains that everywhere he has been, operatives were being attacked, this causes him to believe he is the main target of Mega Mom. After the group makes it back to treehouse, Numbuh 3 asks why there isn't a dad to go alongside with the mom. Numbuh 274 realizes this before an explosion occurs in the treehouse, revealing Destructo Dad. He then stupefies Numbuh 3 and begins attacking the others. Mega Mom soon busts in the fight and the duo work together to take down every member of Sector V. This just leaves Numbuh 274, however before he was able to fight them, they take off their masks, revealing to him that they were actually his parents.

It turns out that the reason for them nullifying the KND was to make 274 the best member of the organization, despite him being highly respected. Numbuh 274 is embarrassed by this and causes them to undo their destruction by threatening to quit all of his extracurricular activities, joining a punk band, and contacting a tattoo parlor. They are later seen at the end of the episode, picking up Numbuh 274 for his violin lessons.
Throughout the rest of the series, they appear primarily as background characters during villain meetups. They were also transformed into Senior Citi-Zombies after Grandfather was reawakened in Operation Z.E.R.O.
Appearance[]
Mega Mom wears a large mask resembling her true identity, she has blonde hair and wears white earrings. She also wears a pink dress, and cyan colored gloves and boots, she also carries a white purse with her. She has white/Caucasian colored skin.
Destructo Dad also has a mask resembling his actual identity, with two tufts of brown hair, with large glasses and nose. He wears a maroon red suit with a blue belt to go along with his blue gloves and boots. He also wears a purple and green necktie.
Trivia[]
- Their Stupefication technology is most likely a metaphor for "grounding" someone, as anyone hit with the beams is rendered unable to move, completely helpless, similar to a parent punishing a child for bad behavior.
- Due to their stupefaction technology, they are shown to be some of the more powerful villains in the series since they have managed to defeat nearly every KND operative, including Sector V. However, it is unknown why they stopped using it after "Operation C.H.A.D.", though it's possible that Chad may have confiscated or destroyed it to prevent them from causing any more harm to them.
